When this poll for Backspacer started my first vote was going to be for either Johnny Guitar or Force of Nature. I decided that I'd listen to them both before voting. Oddly enough, I've yet to vote for Force of Nature. It's really not too bad at all (but I won't vote for it to win).
Neither Unthought Known nor Force Of Nature should survive this round but both probably will.
It seems that a fair number of people think Unthought Known is some kind of PJ masterpiece. Go figure!

Looks like it's going to be Unthought Known vs. Amongst The Waves in the finals. That will be a very tough call. Both sound really good in the set lists. Musically, I'd have to go with ATW, even though I do enjoy UK. "Gems and Rhinestones!!" is a little cheesy, but a cool moment, nonetheless. Just like Inside Job.. Ooh..they could end up duking it out, if we go in studio album order..

While I like the song a lot, in comparison to the remaining group it's the most linear (save for the solo) to my ears. Love the Weakest Link. I'll be genuinely sad when it's all over.
Force Of Nature is probably my favorite from BS. It just never really grew legs live. If they would slow it down a touch, then Ed could probably find a great pocket to ride in and the song would be awesome. There's a ton of lyrics in that song. FON and Infallible are chances that they've taken with the writing that really have paid off for me.

Well it looks like two middle of the road greatest hits songs are headed for the final again. These pollls are just disappointing now. Let me guess Lightning Bolt and Sirens are going the distance for the LB poll. Not because they are that good on the album(though it should be noted LB live is a good fucking time) but because people are picking based on favorite dedication or memory, etc. not quality of song.

My pick for the final would be Force of Nature and Got Some. As for the other, greatest is subjective and I don't get the overwhelming love for some of those songs. Some are a good time at the shows but others I could really do without(looking at you Just Breathe and Sirens).
