I was thinking the other day it's almost time for there to be something like the Grateful Dead's 30 Trips Around the Sun collection for Pearl Jam. One show from each year. This is a generally agreeable list. I too echo the love for Slim's 1993, Red Rocks 1995, Buffalo and Portugal 1996. I'd include Hamilton 2005 on the list of contenders too. TYAAM preset, Porch opener (OTOTO), Harvest Moon in Tuxedos with Sleater Kinney. Lots of other good stuff that night.

Oh yes, Boise 2000 is also awesome, for the guy who brought that up..

Exciting 3 of my 15 shows made the list!

I would add Fenway 2 but we’ll see how 2018 shakes out.

I was at the Greenville show and that has been my BEST show yet! I went to N1 of Wrigley this year and it’s was my 7th show but Show #6 will be hard to top. The crowd was electric that night, the band was feeding off of the audience, Ed said thanks for not just showing up, oh and Vs. was played. If I could have captured that energy in a bottle... That show really showed me what the fans could do!

    2018: Seattle 2

    2006: Portland, Oregon. July 20.
yes, I’m biased and I was there, but....it was a special night:

    Benefit show for Crohns.
Only small theater show of the tour
Comedian David Cross opened the show, who Relentlessly made fun of Portland.
Sleater Kinney’s farewell show before hiatus
Stone’s 40th birthday. Ed smashes cake in his face.
Rockin in the Free World with David Cross on Ed’s shoulders
Johnny Marr of The Smith’s and Peter Buck of REM join in the Dylan song All Along the Watchtower
Harvest Moon with the Sleater Kinney gals literally sweeping a broom on stage for that sound effect on microphone
Had to buy tix on the telephone, old school. All my friends and I had an entire row, up really close. Because no one knew this show was even on sale. (My recollection, anyway)

    11-2-2000 Portland. 12-8-2002 Seattle. 4-18-2003 Nashville. 5-30-2003 Vancouver. 10-25-2003 Bridge School. 9-2-2005 Vancouver.
    7-6-2006 Las Vegas. 7-20-2006 Portland. 7-22-2006 Gorge. 9-21-2009 Seattle. 9-22-2009 Seattle. 9-26-2009 Ridgefield. 9-25-2011 Vancouver.
    11-29-2013 Portland. 10-16-2014 Detroit. 8-8-2018 Seattle. 8-10-2018 Seattle. 8-13-2018 Missoula.  5-10-2024 Portland.  5-30-2024 Seattle.

Dublin 06, the one goddamn time where the crowd did justice to the It's OK tag, honestly the only time.

The amount of times I've heard boots where that tag swags in and the crowd shit the bag on it.

Have you heard Jones Beach 8/24/00? That's the one that gives me goosebumps every time. TB2k version.

I was at 2 of these - Cardiff 00 and Leeds 14. What makes Cardiff even more special is that they were amazing in a venue that is notorious for its bad sound. That and its the only time they have ever been to Wales.

I thought Lolla '07 made a pretty good go of it.

2016 is pretty spot on except I would swap out Toronto night 1 for Quebec. Interesting that you have Seattle 2013 in there. I really like the boot but I remember lots of people coming out of that show disappointed.
I was at 2013 Seattle and did not leave disappointed. Great show.

The most overlooked PJ show of the 2010s imo is Calgary 2013. Will always be a top ten show for me. Don’t believe me check out the set list. Still not convinced listen to the boot… the crowd was so into it. The Blizzard show… phenomenal.

I was supposed to be at that show but the blizzard had other ideas! My best friend was there and loved the show. Upgraded his seat to side wing and you are right a phenomenal set.

The Seattle comment was from reading the fanview thread I think and probably people have way too high expectations at the time. Seemed like a solid show to me and the boot was great.

    Yes please.
  • Fantastic list. I too would add Portland 06. That was a special one…definitely not my favorite ever, but unique. And I’ll add a little love for Boise 00, which had, to me, the same energy as Milan that year. Thanks for putting this together!

Detroit at the Joe in 2014 was a fantastic show. Cincy from that year was great too, first show of that leg and the band seemed to be in a great mood

It was also the year I made my first trip out to the Pacific North West. I've never been to Seattle so what better way then to catch Pearl Jam in Oregon, Washington & British Columbia that year. I would of done many East Coast shows that year but passed.

That whole day in Spokane was amazing! Would totally do it again.

I know you’ve already got 6 2016 shows listed and it was a good year. But I’d consider 4/26/16 in Lexington, KY. 3 hour show, plenty of rarities (Education, 1/2 Full). I was there so I’m biased, but it was a great night!
