President Trump participated in dubious tax schemes during the 1990s, including instances of outright fraud, an investigation by The New York Times has found.
The findings are based on interviews with Fred Trump’s former employees and advisers and more than 100,000 pages of documents describing the inner workings and immense profitability of his empire. They include documents culled from public sources — mortgages and deeds, probate records, financial disclosure reports, regulatory records and civil court files.
The investigation also draws on tens of thousands of pages of confidential records — bank statements, financial audits, accounting ledgers, cash disbursement reports, invoices and canceled checks. Most notably, the documents include more than 200 tax returns from Fred Trump, his companies and various Trump partnerships and trusts.

Who here is proud of Team Trump Treason? Would like your son to grow up and be like him or leave your adult daughter alone in the same room with him?
Has Team Trump Treason spoken out as forcefully about the African Americans who have had 911 called on them for going about their daily business? You know, the woman sleeping in her dorm lounge, the family BBQing in the Park, the guy appraising the house, the guys sitting in a Starbucks, the women staying at an air b&b? You know, being accused of being black and being? Can anyone point me to Team Trump Treason’s concern for those “victims?”
Has Trump had any rallies in any state other than the- excuse the expression- backwater states? Have they been as enthusiastic?
I'd like to think my state, Minnesota, isn't backwater, but there are plenty of ignorant rural areas so we mix it up pretty well I guess. Stay out of the woods and you'll be ok.
Fake news. So, Team Trump Treason cheated on his taxes. Who cares? And what could be more American? Buh, buh, buh Hillary! Suckers.
Youre actually quoting about half of Americans that have no clue when wealthy asset owners scheme to pay little tax ...
the country either goes into debt, cuts social security and/or raises taxes on the poor schlub employees that will need to have more taxes taken from their wages to pay for his planes and golf courses.

Maybe they’ll get woke when they file their income taxes in 2019? Nah, they’ll blame Obama.

Not sure what tRUmp is thinking coming to MN so often. Don't think there's a chance it'll go red or even purple. Pretty sure his support in the iron range continues to dwindle.

"That makes me smart."
It's not just having no clue. There's also a part of the population that thinks that getting out of paying one's fair share is a badge of pride/ cleverness. In my (limited) experience, those are the same people who proudly crow, "My president tapped that ass! Woo!" They would do it too, if they could get away with it, so they aren't bothered by the behavior. And they're certain that their tax dollars are being given to "welfare queens." As if there's a system in place to directly transfer your tax payments into some other individual's bank account.
I sometimes wonder if it would be useful to provide a breakdown of what the government does with taxes. So, if you're filing electronically, you see a graphic that says: "This year, you paid $5,000 in federal income taxes. Of that amount, $X went to defense, $X went to welfare programs, $X to infrastructure, $X to paying the national debt, and $.05 went to that high-profile spending item that you're all worked up about."
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.

I’m sure there’s a government office or think tank out there that has just such a graphic but it would require critical thinking and some basic math skills to understand, particularly when you look at the debt number and interest on the debt. Clearly something most of the 60 million + Team Trump Treason voters don’t have.
Give me substance, not tabloid junk about a man's penis
Well, she was paid $130K to keep quiet and then Team Trump Treason denied the encounter and lied about the payment. You want pics? What “substance” are you seeking?

He lost Minnesota in a close one two years ago. He cares more about how many electoral votes he gets in 2020 than he does the actual good of the country he's supposed to be serving.
And Minnesota is totally up for grabs. We've been inching slowly right for a while. This fall will teach us something with two senate seats,* governor, and some hotly contested House seats. Jeff Johnson should win fairly easily and become our answer to Scott Walker. As odd as this seems, I see us splitting our two senate seats with Klobuchar (D) and Housely (R) winning. The two Twin Cities Reps will go Dem easily, with the other six going GOP. Minnesota is not yet a red state...but we should be more like Wisconsin (is "purple" the term) soon.
*For those who don't know, Klobuchar's seat is up for election and the other is Franken's so it won't be a full 6-year term.
Living in St. Paul in what is essentially an un-contested district, I am getting very burned-out on commercials from other districts.

Do we really need a “Team Trump Treason Alert” sent to our cell phones nationwide? What could be the purpose of this? What type of calamity would have to befall us for the POTUS to send out an alert? What’s next? A color coded threat level scrolling across the bottom of your screen?

We all know about the payment... do we need to focus on stories from a porn star about his penis and sexual interests? Um, no.

I think it lends credence to the existence of a PTape. That and putin on the ritz's facial expression in Helsinki.

Unfortunately, I think you are right about there being a lot more red in this state that this election will really help to identify. When I lived in St. Paul, there was pretty much no red and about 0 support for Trump, but we moved south of the metro about 30 miles and immediately were confronted with huge Trump signs in cornfields, hanging from raised skid loader buckets and on yard signs. That support hasn't waned in the past 2 years where I live and my parents live about 2.5 hours north of the Cities where it's about the same. There are pockets of blue outside the metro, but it's pretty limited and usually closer to a 50/50 split instead of landslide blue or red.
As for Johnson, that's all I've seen up north and where I live, so it depends on how well he can do in the metro on whether he gets the seat. We are probably due for a Republican governor either way. I don't see the Senate seats flipping, but think your assessment is pretty accurate for the house. I think I get a flyer every damn day against the local dem rep that is funded by the repub party, but none against the repub and only 1 for the dem. They know how to sway that older white rural demographic by spending big money on negative ads selling half truths.
Every phone in the office went off for this test. Prediction on first "real" one? How about "2018 fall election postponed."
