Trump is a whole lot more than offensive, but if you only pay attention to the superficial crap, then I can see why you'd think that.
Well for one, I really don't pay that much attention to Trump.  I have no say in US elections.  I am not comrade meltdown66 ... more like a hoser, eh.
He will have a real affect on our lives, especially economically, with this trade war he's started.

    Delusional
These lies are very deliberate IMO, not delusional at all. All of his lies are - they have a purpose. Trump understands that if you just lie enough the truth becomes irrelevant. And it's totally working. He is actually a pretty damn good fascist. I think he's really studied up on fascist propaganda tactics, or someone advising him has.
    they believe him too

The Team Trump Treason Administration wants to give farmers $12 billion in aid to offset the effects of retalitory tariffs. How fucking stupid is that? Where is the money coming from? I thought the repubes were fiscally responsible, firm stewards of the nation's resources? A self-inflicted $12 billion dollar blunder. Idiots. And suckers.

I don't think subsidies alone are the issue. They have been around forever for various things because a true "free market" does not exist, has never existed, and can not exist.

I think the issue is that a lot of farmers essentially shot themselves in the foot by voting for trump, started a go fund me page to pay for hospital bills, and now we are all forced to donate. Trump created a crisis for no reason, but this was not hard to see coming

The Trump administration on Tuesday announced up to $12 billion in emergency relief for farmers hurt by the president’s trade war, moving to to insulate food producers from looming financial losses that would be a direct result of President Trump’s policies.

Well for one, I really don't pay that much attention to Trump.  I have no say in US elections.  I am not comrade meltdown66 ... more like a hoser, eh.
He will have a real affect on our lives, especially economically, with this trade war he's started.
I am sure it will ... I'll make 1 thing clear.  I'm OK with free trade with US, but Mexico I am not ...
I think I might know why you're saying that, but some experts think that having free-trade with Mexico is mainly beneficial for the purpose of continually expanding trade in the Americas - not maintaining free trade relations with Mexico would apparently damage those avenues. And while Trump wants to separate everyone - divide and conquer - it is the opinion of many that maintaining as many trade ties with other nations as possible will be to Canada's benefit in the long run when it comes to dealing with the US. That seems like a very valid argument to me.

I am saying this because the trade agreement has decimated Ontario manufacturing, especially southwester Ontario.  We can not compete with 5.00/day wages or whatever there wage are.  I understand why, the economies of the 2 countries are intertwined.  Then maybe fluff should join trump in demanding wage protection from Mexico.

Subsidiaries? What do you mean? Do you mean subsidies?
A bailout resulting from a trade war is a whole lot different than annual subsidies.
    Whoops.  Yes subsidies.

It's the same thing.  It's a bailout for the farmers.  They make money all the time so don't think that they don't.

The farming industry has been awful for years.  Flooding, GMO's, Corn for ethanol, drought, freeze.  They are always having problems.  Yet they always make money.

Yes, this bailout is in part because of Tariffs but it's been happening for a long time too.

I've always wondered if the mega corporations that design the seeds are the ones pushing legislation for the farmers?

Google "Why is the government bailing out farmers" and you'll get stories of this happening for different reasons from the past 40 years.

We should all be questioning why that happens year after year...

Keep an eye out for racial disparities in the distribution of the $12 billion in aid. Its not like that hasn't happened before.

You said “in part.”  Make no mistake, Trump would not be bailing out farmers with $12 billion dollars if he didn’t kill them with unnecessary tariffs in the first place. This whole thing is asinine.

Fair enough. But you didn't read the rest of what I wrote?  Bailouts of the farmers have been happening for 40+years now.

I want to know why year after year we keep doing it?  Someone in government is making money off of the farmers somehow with the bailouts.

Screen shot didn't have usable links.

    Just google it please.

Farming is an inherently risky business. Government subsidies help alleviate the risk of poor weather, supply and demand and fluctuations in commodities farmers need to survive, diesel fuel and fertilizers or feed corn. Without subsidies, farmers would never make it through the lean years and we as a nation and most of the world would starve. The difference here is it’s completely self inflicted and stupid. You can’t blame it on OPEC, the weather, a blight of some pest or a key fertilizer ingredient shortage. It’s all Team Trump Treason because he’s an idiot.
