Second, the #memo notes that the dossier was an "essential" part of the warrant. That's a clever word. It's not the same as "primary" nor "only". My left thumb is essential to my manual dexterity, but I don't cease to function without it.
Third, Trey Gowdy , the one person who saw the application, emphasized that this doesn't affect Mueller's work at all.

If the FBI was so certain of their case then they could have been honest with the judge and still obtained the FISA warrant. They weren’t honest though so we’ll never know. While we’re at it they should release the first FISA application that was initially denied. What changed between the two applications? Was it the dossier? And let's not forget that the administration claimed several times that Page didn't work for the campaign. Now suddenly Trump is a victim because a person who didn't work for the campaign was under surveillance? Well which one is it?

On FISA abuse...the origin of the dossier was not presented to the FISC judge. That is major unethical omission. The FBI used a news article from Isikoff as a second source to corroborate the dossier when that info was from Steele as well! That is a major misrepresentation to the court. Whether the investigation was intitated due to Papadopoulos is irrelevant to what the FBI brought to the FISC. The ability to spy on Page comes from the dossier...fruit of the poisonous tree.
Lastly...we haven’t even gotten to the next step which is what information was obtained, unmasked, and dessiminated because of this unethically obtained warrant.

Also the claim that Page was not part of the campaign in any meaningful form is a real one along with the fact that Trump was a victim of surveillance due to that weak connection. This is the whole point... A misrepresented dossier was used to get a warrant on Page which was then abused by the NSA to get info on Trump. This is an abuse of power to spy on a political opponent. Why you all defend it is beyond me. You all have become everything you claim to hate. Character is destiny...
