Not wanting Trump (potentially) firing Mueller to be a story and thinking Trump (potentially) firing Mueller shouldn't be a story aren't the same thing. The President of the United States actively plotting to further obstruct justice absolutely is a story.

Speaking of Richard Nixon, I was just going over a part of my memoir (which actually might get finished before summer, God willing and the creek don't rise) and came across this amusing story I wrote (takes place in my high school years when Tricky Dick was Prez and I was working making cold calls for a photo studio. AWFUL job, but funny story):
My boss, our
supervisor, was a colorful and voluptuous middle aged woman who either had a
huge amount of patience or was desperate to keep somebody, anybody, behind that desk and on the phone. She regularly and often chewed my butt out for
screwing up the message or not coming across with enough enthusiasm, but she
was also the one saving grace for me in that job because she was funny as hell
and had a great big wonderful laugh. She
also had a tendency to frequently throw her big voice behind her critique of
current events as she often listened to the news during work hours. One day she starting talking about the current
president, Richard M. Nixon, and suddenly just blurted out, “Oh my GOD! I can’t stand that man! Those skinny wrists! Have you ever noticed them? Those huge hands of his coming out of his
coat sleeves and NO WRISTS! Aughhh!” She emphasized her point by shaking one of her
bangled wrists and squeezing it with the other hand. “And the stupid things he says! GOOD GOD, I hate that man!” Some of the others in the office just kind of
smiled and looked away, but I laughed out loud because she totally cracked me
up.

The goal is not to remove Trump from office.
The goal is to win the house this year and start a PUBLIC congressional investigation so America can learn the full extent of the criminal conspiracy to defraud the US, and how many other Rs were involved.
