Is it not congress's duty and obligation to oversee the DOJ?
Facts are facts, Mueller is on an unlimited resourced unimpeded fact finding mission, nobody can change the facts once they are presented.
The facts so far: Flynn lying to the FBI, to agent Strzok accepted by judge Rudolf Contreras who recused himself shortly thereafter. Papadop for lying to the FBI. Manafort on 10 year old tax evasion.
Until Muellers facts are disclosed to the public anyone who claims "this is a distraction" should be able to answer, a distraction from what?
All we can do is wait and see...
A vast oversimplification, wouldn’t you say, comrade? Did you read Manafort’s indictment? Why didn’t you link to it? Are your linking skills impeded by your vodka consumption? Here, I’ll do it for you:
Criminal tax evasion has a six year statue. That information isn't supplied on right wing propaganda sites. But continue. . your streak of inaccuracy continues unabated.

Does the six year window apply to “as a result of violations of the FICA statute?”

I'm not a tax lawyer but I would be surprised if the statute was longer for FICA vs income tax. Either way, the post was bs since JC isn't aware that tax evasion isn't the same thing as money laundering.

I believe tax evasion from money laundering or drug sales or selling stolen secrets has no statute of limitations like your average inflation of charitable contributions or claiming too many interest deductions on your 1040 EZ.

My understanding is that civil evasion has no statute. Criminal evasion does. I'm not aware of any crime that has no federal statute , although possibly treason. Murder has no state statute in all states I believe. I don't know if there's a federal murder statute unaffiliated with civil rights type cases . I may be wrong on all of this.
FICA=Foreign Influence Corruption Act. It’s not the payroll tax but one that Team Trump Treason may have to defend against.
oh.. I thought you were talking about federal insurance contributions act, since we were talking about taxes. I was wondering why you wound focus on that part of the tax code!

If I were paid $100K for knocking off the spouse of a disgruntled lover and didn’t claim the proceeds, even if I were caught 30 years after the fact and the gubmint knew I had been paid and never claimed the income, I’d be liable for the taxes and penalties. I believe it’s true of all ill gotten gains but tax filings, after 7 years on the deductions, etc? You’ve won. Get audited within 7 years, better have receipts. Ill gotten gains income? Better look over your shoulder cuz the tax man cometh.
And in case you haven’t been paying attention, the torch has been passed, officially. Team Trump Treason and their 35% base officially own it. The torch is yours. History is watching. You own it.
Professor? Your brilliance is blinding. When do you immigrate? Team Trump Treason wants more of your kind.

I'm not sure that's true. The IRS could sue in civil court and take civil judgment (and all the financial remedies that come with that judgment (wage garns, liens, etc.)), but I don't believe you could prosecuted criminally for the tax issue.
“I would love to be able to bring back our country into a great form of
unity. Without a major event where people pull together,
that’s hard to do. But I would like to do it without that major event
because usually that major event is not a good thing.” Then:
“I want to see our country united. I want to bring our country back from
a tremendous divisiveness, which has taken place not just over one
year, over many years, including the Bush years, not just Obama.”
Might be two of the better things he's said in his term.

And he’s so clueless about how he creates divisiveness.
He's not clueless about this...he's moving the Overton Window. It is why the speech he gave last night, which is for the most part a rehash of everything he's always said only in a slightly softer tone, has been getting good reviews. What was once divisive is slowly gaining acceptance.
And he’s so clueless about how he creates divisiveness.

He had good reviews after his last speech to congress. The fact is his bar is so low when he can keep to the teleprompter and not sound like a complete moron (like his true self) it's considered a win.

Ha! A speech full of lies, mischaracterizations and untruths. I can see why you think it’s getting good reviews despite the lower ratings. And if his policies are so “accepting,” why 38 current repubes resigning from Congress and still less than 40% approval? What alternate version of reality are you living in, Professor?

Nice spin though.
And spin it is. Team Trump Treason’s policies don’t appeal beyond his base of 37%. You know, the white nationalist base.
