that idiot also said that if there was no good guy with a gun in Texas that hundreds more would have died. um, the town's population is only hundreds, isn't it? Trump is suggesting he would have wiped out the entire town?

    what a fucking moron.
In all fairness, we do not know exactly what the shithead’s ultimate plan was.  It was a town of 400 within a short drive to one of the most populated cities in Texas.  I have seen no evidence that he was confined to the town and obviously tried to escape.  Trump is a moron, but his statement here “could” be right.
He also could have said the shooter's ultimate goal was to drop an atom bomb on San Antonio and he "could" have been right because "in all fairness we do not know exactly what the shithead's ultimate plan was."

Stop grasping at straws to defend this "fucking moron." Deep down you know it's futile.

of course it "could" be right. he also could have said "he may have been able to hijack a helicopter and rain bullets down on Texas for hours on end", and he "could" have been right. but it's irresponsible for him to speculate on things based on zero facts.

Speculating on things with zero facts is literally his thing.

Speculating... while configuring his teeny weeny little orange fingers in an 'A-Okay' symbol and thrusting his jaw out so his chin flap doesn't wiggle too much as he spews his nonsense.

    He's a loathsome sort.

Not defending him, just giving props to the guys that ended the spree.  They were the first responders and “most likely” prevented more deaths as he was still shooting at people.  I admire citizens that are willing to risk their own safety to stand up and stop a situation like this.  Carry on with the Trump venting :)

Donald Trump's motorcade departing from the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia had an extra add-on Saturday, after the president spent the 96th day of his presidency visiting one of his own properties. That addition came in the form of a female cyclist, who had one goal in mind: to flip off the president of the United States.

Pool reporters first noticed the cyclist trailing the motorcade before she managed to snake her way next to the president’s car just outside of the Trump National Golf Club. "A female bicyclist along the motorcade route, just outside the golf course, traveling in the right lane repeatedly extended her middle left finger towards POTUS," the pool stated.

The president's car was stopped at a traffic light near the golf course, just about to turn left onto the parkway, when the bicyclist successfully gave the president the middle finger.

Steve Herman, bureau chief of Voice of America News, tweeted the pool reportSaturday, writing "I just saw this happen as we left the Trump golf course in Sterling, Virginia."

For many, the pool report could leave more questions than answers.

Who was this bicyclist? Was she upset about the president’s frequent golfing excursions? Could his travels to the Virginia golf course and the resulting congestion in traffic have ticked her off? Is she one of the majority of Americans who feel Trump is to blame for the dysfunction in Washington?

None of this is clear, except for the cyclist’s intention to give nobody else but Trump the middle finger during his trip home to the White House. Pool reporters have yet to release any footage of the bicyclist’s exchange with the president.

Of the 96 visits Trump has taken to his own properties as president, 76 of those have been to golf clubs. Saturday also marked the second-consecutive weekend he visited the Trump National Golf Course in Virginia. It’s the first time pool reporters have noted a bicyclist has flipped him off as he was visiting, however.

Looks like this now belongs in the idiot thread. Hope it was worth it.

Freedom of speech allowed her to flip off the president without government retaliation.  It does not protect her from being fired from her company that probably has some sort of integrity rules in their employee handbook.  Perfectly legal for them to fire her, just like a school can fire someone for lewd behavior in public.

the company said she violated their terms of acceptable social media use or something to that effect. don't think she posted the picture, so not sure how that would hold up. she merely informed her employer that it was she in the picture, as she figured it would eventually come out anyway.

Still legal grounds for firing someone.  Most companies spell it out that your behavior inside and outside of work hours represents the company.  You can be fired for lots of things if it violates some company policy...a picture of you flipping off the president can most definitely be one of those.  I do not think she has a case.

It probably doesn’t help either that she was flipping off “the government”, the people that the company was under contract with.  She may be able to sue if she can prove discrimination, but “freedom of speech” does not protect her here.

My guess is that she has a basis for a law suit. I would have done the same, freedom of speech and all, yo!
Freedom of speech allowed her to flip off the president without government retaliation.  It does not protect her from being fired from her company that probably has some sort of integrity rules in their employee handbook.  Perfectly legal for them to fire her, just like a school can fire someone for lewd behavior in public.

that idiot also said that if there was no good guy with a gun in Texas that hundreds more would have died. um, the town's population is only hundreds, isn't it? Trump is suggesting he would have wiped out the entire town?

    what a fucking moron.
In all fairness, we do not know exactly what the shithead’s ultimate plan was.  It was a town of 400 within a short drive to one of the most populated cities in Texas.  I have seen no evidence that he was confined to the town and obviously tried to escape.  Trump is a moron, but his statement here “could” be right.
It could be.... although what he's inferring is really that there are people who think all guns should be banned and confiscated, which is the only scenario that would render the entire population helpless and completely unarmed. Nobody, of course, is suggesting such a thing. All they are saying is that the guy who killed 26 people (well, 25 people and one fetus) should not have been able to get a gun... Trump's comment could even be translated to suggest the guy who did manage to shoot the guy after the massacre could be a criminal himself, since what people are suggesting about gun control would have only prevented him from having that gun if he were. and then Trump came back with a comment that essentially said he didn't agree with that premise, and boldly said that this incident had nothing to do with gun control, lol. He has egg all over his face. The fucking idiot got absolutely nothing right with this one. As usual. Trump NEVER gets anything right.

She may have a different basis for a lawsuit.

"Virginia is an employment-at-will state, meaning employers can fire people anytime and for any reason. But Briskman said what’s been particularly infuriating is that a male colleague kept his job after recently posting lewd comments on his Facebook page that featured Akima LLC as his cover photo. She said this colleague was reprimanded for calling someone "a fucking Libtard asshole" on Facebook, but was allowed to delete the post and keep his job.

“How is that any less ‘obscene’ than me flipping off the president?” she asked. “How is that fair?”"

Except when they don't enforce the policy equitably under the law, allowing a male colleague to remove an offensive Facebook post, apologize and keep his job.
As I stated above, she may be able to pull off a lawsuit for discrimination, but you suggested earlier that this was a “freedom of speech” 1st Amendment issue...which it is not.
Except you never claimed discrimination but rather an employee handbook violation. It may still very well be a freedom of speech issue.

freedom of speech protects you from prosecution, nothing else.
Exactly.  It does not protect you from being fired.

that idiot also said that if there was no good guy with a gun in Texas that hundreds more would have died. um, the town's population is only hundreds, isn't it?

Not defending him, just giving props to the guys that ended the spree.  They were the first responders and “most likely” prevented more deaths as he was still shooting at people.  I admire citizens that are willing to risk their own safety to stand up and stop a situation like this.  Carry on with the Trump venting :)

Everyone admires them......rational people also want to find ways to prevent the shithead from murdering 26 innocent people in the first place though. Saying "now is not the time" and brushing this off as only a "mental health problem" and only talking about the brave Samaritan who shot the shithead AFTER he killed 26 people does literally nothing to help prevent this from happening again in the very near future.

Of course the irony is that if we applied common employer expectations on trump, he would’ve been fired a long time ago.

Truly. It's so fucking backwards. She gets fired for a middle finger and he can lie, slander, sexually harass, threaten, etc., but nothing. Yet, how many Trump supporters will get a kick out of this?
    It's a hopeless situation...
