Although glimpses of Trump’s penchant for ripping were reported earlier in his presidency — by Politico in 2018 — the House select committee’s investigation into the Jan. 6 insurrection has shined a new spotlight on the practice. The Washington Post reported that some of the White House records the National Archives and Records Administration turned over to the committee appeared to have been torn apart and then taped back together.

Latest target of the far-right, pro-Trump, pro-wall contingent is a butterfly sanctuary on the US-Mexico border. It has had to close due to threats to the director and staff from QAnoners, who baselessly claim, once again, that it's a haven for child sex trafficking and illegal immigration. The director was allegedly told she should "be armed at all times or get out of town".
Coincidentally I'm sure, it's in the path of the border wall and threats began after the centre pushed back against construction of the wall right through the sanctuary.
