I agree. The laws must be weird because sometimes it seems like you can and others you can’t. Like on Impractical Jokers they have to get permission, that doesn’t seem any different than using your image for a campaign.

In this day and age and even going back to the BITUSA/Reagan thing and probably other examples, it’s been somewhat self policing.

in fairness, they have stated that a regular joe would have been banned for the same tweets, but it's in the interest of the public to see them.

I didn't defend anyone. And I corrected myself within 2 minutes that it wasn't Biden before anyone even responded. Was going off memory from a story from over a week ago, sorry I got a minor detail wrong. Someone shared a link of using a picture without permission, I also shared one. 
Its still a Biden ad, just not paid for by his campaign, just some supporters instead. Is there really any doubt who this ad wants you to vote for? So not sure why that deserved such a reaction.
