remember its 2020 and it’s all about covid, as you know too well, including how the election will be decided. This means mail in ballots are everything. If Dems are too worried to show up in person and “mail it in” it could cost Biden the election
If trump is ahead by less than 1% in a few close swing states, but there are tens of thousands of uncounted mail in ballots , I’d expect him to seek a court injunction to stop the mail counts and claim victory. Since the constitution favors republicans (state legislators name the electors and they’re all republican in swing states) it’s about delaying past the deadline to count and then claiming victory.
Biden needs to be aggressive about this in the debates, to plant the seed in everybody’s mind that stopping legal vote counting is un-American, what dictators do and will lead to an illegitimate process. He must emphasize mail in ballots are legal and ANY court challenge must be immediately thrown out by every judge until AFTER the states count all ballots in accordance with the laws.0 -

I don't know but I tend to think neither really wants to be President. Trump doesn't want to lose ("Only losers lose") and loves having power, but after these four years, he'd probably prefer to be golfing every day and making WWE appearances. And Biden may just feel a duty to take out Trump, because as we've seen over the past four years, but congressionally and in the primary, he's the only one in his party capable of doing it.nicknyr15 said:

He will leave. We don't just let people sit in power because they don't want to leave. They will forcefully drag him out if it comes to that, the secret service Is not there to serve him at that point. He's going to challenge the mail in voting and try to throw the popular vote out at the state level, leaving it to the legislature to determine the fate of the electors in certain states (like PA, FL, etc.) The groundwork is already being set in PA through discussions with the state chairs.
