    Signing statements are meaningless.  They hold no weight in court or congress.  They are essentially a weak ass line item veto, which is unconstitutional.  So he can say what he wants at this time, but we'll have to see how it plays out.  From what I've read, that would violate the terms of the law.

    Once the law is signed, the money should be appropriated unless there is some sort of release valve.  But in these times, that really wouldn't make sense.  And I don't think Trump could point to the situation and call it extraordinary since teh law was written with those controls during this time.  It seems like a power play and one that would create hearings or a law suit at the least.

    3500 lifetime lawsuits and 198 so far since being president without so much as a slap on the wrist....I’m not holding my breath that this is the one time he will be punished for over stepping.

    Well it would never punish him personally either way.  I read more about it and he’s pointing to the “take care” clause in the constitution.

    Been on the Porch for a few days now. gotta say, I can't believe the number of comment from people saying they don't agree with Ed's political lyrics on this new album, yada, yada, yada.  Never thought I'd see that in a PJ forum. Goes to show how these guys transcend. But if there are that many trumpers on a PJ forum, that makes me nervous for November.
