    In case you missed CYA Barr's testimony this morning. A nice recap from the comments section of the article in the WaPo.

    “I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal. It’s a big deal,” said Barr, noting that there are long-held rules to prevent intelligence agencies from collecting information on domestic political figures.
    He repeats himself just like Trump.
    “I’m not suggesting that those rules were violated, but I think it’s important to look at that,” he said. “I’m not talking about the FBI necessarily but intelligence agencies more broadly.”
    Maybe Agent Orange got the ringer he was looking for in Barr. His speculation at this point makes Comey's Clinton email summary seem meek in comparison.
    “I need to explore that . . . I want to say that I am reviewing this, I haven’t set up a team yet,” Barr added. “I also want to make clear this is not launching an investigation of the FBI, frankly, to the extent that there were any issues at the FBI, I do not view it as a problem that’s endemic to the FBI, I think there was probably a failure among a group of leaders there in the upper echelon.”
    He hasn't set up a team, wait for it, yet. He is not saying there is anything wrong with the FBI, but...
    In a letter to Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham Monday night, Barr said that he had sent it to White House special counsel Emmet Flood, Solicitor General Noel Francisco, and his former Justice Department colleague Pat Cipollone who is now White House counsel. He also discussed the issues raised in the memo with Trump lawyers Marty and Jane Raskin and Jay Sekulow. In addition he sent a copy, or had a conversation about the contents of the memo with Abbe Lowell, an attorney for Jared Kushner.
    We are getting a preliminary look at the agenda Barr is likely to pursue. It appears our current AG does not have anywhere near the integrity of Mueller, or he would have said nothing at this time. If he can't find the facts is he going to resort to character assassination?

    If there was any doubt that he is politically motivated and Trump's man, it should be gone now.

    Carter Page was informed in July 2016 that he was under FBI investigation due to contacts with the Russians despite what  a repub member of the committee tried to allude to, that professional FBI conduct would have been to inform those being investigated that they were being "spied" upon. It really is too bad that most of 'Murica is "okay with it." The high crimes and misdemeanors and the coverup that is.

    Yep.  I hate Trump.  I think his presidency is dangerous.  That said, the "Treason Team" is democrats.  A treasonous attempt to unseat a duly-elected president was made and a lot of democrats (and possibly some republicans) will, and should, spend the rest of their lives in prison.

    Justice needs to be done.  The negative side-effect will be that we're going to have a one-party system for a while.  And we're probably decades from having a president not named Trump.  Authoritarianism incoming?

    And I am usually with most of you.  Pizzagate?  Laughable.  Trump corrupt?  Yes.  Trump terrible?  Yep.  But it's really starting to look like the Russia shit is built on a pile of lies just as laughable as Pizzagate.  And that's treason, plain and simple.

    You’d be better served to watch and listen as CYA Barr obfuscates. Have you forgotten the 2 years that repubs held both houses of congress? You’re putting your faith in a political hack who auditioned and was hired for the job of leading a witch hunt? CYA Barr offered no evidence today and denied setting up an investigative committee but did admit to concerns of “spying.” If all you claim is true, why hasn’t the Team Mueller report been released?     Yep.  I hate Trump.  I think his presidency is dangerous.  That said, the "Treason Team" is democrats.  A treasonous attempt to unseat a duly-elected president was made and a lot of democrats (and possibly some republicans) will, and should, spend the rest of their lives in prison.

    Justice needs to be done.  The negative side-effect will be that we're going to have a one-party system for a while.  And we're probably decades from having a president not named Trump.  Authoritarianism incoming?

    And I am usually with most of you.  Pizzagate?  Laughable.  Trump corrupt?  Yes.  Trump terrible?  Yep.  But it's really starting to look like the Russia shit is built on a pile of lies just as laughable as Pizzagate.  And that's treason, plain and simple.
    I hope you're being tongue in cheek, because none of what you say,  even if true,  is treason.
