Boy, I sure am glad this once great nation elected a CEO to run things like a business. It’s working out so so well.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/08/22/coronavirus-covid-updates/
We didn’t elect a real CEO. We elected a private business owner that inherited his starter $.

I think there are plenty (probably all of them) CEO for publicly traded companies that would have done a much better job.

Nashville is great, as long as you stay in the blues/rock club areas, not the country.

Tennessee has done beautiful parts for sure. Not all “ Hicks” which is racially coded language for what exactly?

That law is dumb and truly unamerican. We need to get back to the basics of this country.

I mean it's cool for what it is.. but I don't like modern country so I can only tolerate it for a short spell.  When a bar gets an Allmans cover band in there, then yeah I'm all about that!

I also can't tolerate pop country. I guess you just need to pick your spots, when we visited last year we heard some good bands and had a great time.

The race card pulled on Hicks now.

everything is so stacked against them.  Discrimination really puts them at a disadvantage on a daily basis.
    Whatever will these people do?

I cannot share my full opinion on this topic, have been warned in the past.  Suffice it to say that I do not feel that this should be a valid spot to cry racism.

We have left-wing friends who live in Lebanon, TN.  45 minutes east of Nashville. Originally from Iowa. They acknowledge it’s not quite their culture but the generally like it there. We have visited and it’s not like you run across a confederate flags every few seconds.  Nashville seems like an OK city and the nature in rural TN is great; great hiking, mountain biking, etc.

It’s a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there.

It’s not a race card. It’s just pointing out that it’s a word used in place. Like call stuff “urban” etc. we all do it.

Oh and even saying it isn’t racism. It’s shows prejudice but racism is systemic not something from an individual.

I was just going to post about this.

Kellyanne is leaving her job and George has said he's backing away from the Lincoln Project. I am sure both of these things are due to the very public mess going on with their daughter. As much as I dislike Kellyanne, I hope this family gets back on a better footing.

This is the best thing Kellyanne has ever done. She's looking after her family...I'm not going the cynical route on this.  That's what I believe she's doing. And kudos to George for backing off, too. I don't know what's going on with the child, but I agree that hopefully the family and child(ren?) can find some stability.

Kellyanne Conway's daughter Claudia, 15, says she's seeking emancipation

The 15-year-old has been outspoken on social media against her parents' political views.

    This was yesterday.

The kid needs attention for sure.  But most of the kid's issues seem to focus on her mom promoting tRump.  Kid HATES tRump.

Honestly it does seem like no one was paying attention to the child...she was posting some very revealing tiktoks where she danced wearing a bikini top, etc.  If that were my daughter I would absolutely loose my shit.

Kellyanne absolutely deserves it.  It just sucks that George had to back off as well but I'm sure the other members in the Lincoln Project can fill in the hole.
