Will be interesting to see what happens.  Is Mueller taking his time to make sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed, or is he still searching for evidence that that can actually put Trump away?   If Trump did anything that was actually dangerous to America's security would he continue to take his time or at least get something out there to alert Congress sooner rather than later.

Team Mueller is doing everything by the book and being methodical as he follows the evidence where it leads. In short, he’s not politicizing this investigation and he’s not fucking around. You can bet there are multiple sets of thumb drives distributed or waiting to be to trusted sources. Team Trump Treason ain’t getting away with “it.”

It's DOJ 'general' policy not to release political indictments or anything that can be perceived as affecting the election, between Labor Day and Nov.  This is why Mueller has gone publicly silent.  It's also why the Comey thing in 16 was so outrageous.  Mueller is just following protocol here.  However, he has not been inactive, just quiet.  Here's a really interesting read about the speculation that there has been a major court battle about a Grand Jury between the special counsel and someone...

What I'm saying is that if Mueller had evidence that Trump was colluding with Russia and a current danger to the US, would he take his time building the strongest case possible and letting Trump stay in power for 1+ years and possibly make treasonous deals, or would he alert Congress confidentially (if he was allowed to) and then continue on the investigation to cross all the i's and dot all the t's. 

I'm not saying Trump did nothing wrong or that Mueller isn't good at his job.  If he continues taking his time than I am thinking there is wrongdoing but not that rises up to being a danger to national security.

the special counsel's report can't be shared with congress without approval from the DOJ.  And it would be leaked, as you know.  Mueller is playing this one by the book and correctly.

I hear ya. I always think about the populations of people living around the world who have to grow up or live in an environment with these machines flying overhead day and night. Iraq, Afghanistan, ect. ect. Definetly fucked up. I mean, I get freaked out at an airshow. I can't imagine growing up in a warzone.

I think that's a good point.  Admittedly, I don't know a lot about the rules and regulations of such investigations, but if they really got something related to him doing Putin's bidding or anything else treasonous, it seems that this approach would be kinda letting it go on, which seems dangerous.

I also agree that if there was nothing there, it would be long over.  Those things bring me to election-related hi-jinks.  Bad stuff, but not ongoing stuff.

By the way, as much as I want to see Trump go out disgracefully (in part out of spite, but also for the long-term hope that we don't continue to have major parties nominating people like him), I cannot hope that there actually is something treasonous ongoing. I hope I'm wrong and that while Russia feels it has a stake in helping nitwits win and dividing us, that Trump is not actually working with/for them because they have something on him (part of me still thinks that).  That's an embarrassment and a danger that goes beyond party lines and beyond Watergate.  That said, what I ultimately want out of this is the truth.  For the left, that has to mean accepting what comes of it.  And for the right that would mean actually allowing it to come out (I don't think it ever will) and not discrediting it as an effort to put party first (I think they would do that).
