And Push Pull was awesome in Milwaukee!

That it was. I doubt there's been a better version of PMPM
PMPM is one of those tunes that is best on the record. Like I Got Id.
Gotta disagree, both buffalo13 and Vienna14 hit me in the sweet spot

I'm not going to agree either. I Got Id is in the elite category. But I don't mind PMPM.

dirty I agree with you, I got id is definitely a top ten song and is solid live. push me pull me sounds better live imo. pilate doesn't sound good live or on the record.

To clarify, I Got Id is my favorite Pearl Jam song. I just don't think it translates as well live.

That's a solid favorite right there, I can really respect that as a favorite.
I need to think about that, what's my favorite PJ song. Damn. I am gonna burn one and get to the bottom of this question.

OK, that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
My favorite Pearl Jam song is Present Tense. Runner up is one of; All or None, I Got Id, Thumbing My Way, Rats, DTE, In Hiding...

It's amazing the connection we make to music and the adventures we have to tell stories about because of the music. Like that time when a bear came into camp the day after LB was released and my buddy played Getaway from his tent to scare it off. We all have stories like that.

Obviously we think the majority of these songs are great (hey, we're all PJ fan club members) so the fun of these threads is somehow trying to justify why one song is ever-so-slightly better than another - not only to other members but also to oneself!

On this podcast: http://uproxx.com/music/celebration-rock-no-code-yield/2/ they guy talks about how No Code may have scarced away the casual PJ fans forever (they jumped ship for Hootie & The Blowfish), and that Yield was a more perceived "return to form". In fact he mentions if Yield and No Code switched places in the catalog, PJs fan base grows even larger. I'd say they did alright for themselves with Yield regardless.

Too bad Pilate has such a terrible chorus. Love the verses and especially the bridge.

Always thought the same! If I liked the chorus as much as the verse it would be one of my favorite.
Everything still beats red dot though. I have to assume anyone not voting for it is being strategic about voting for #2 and 3 because that's the one song I can't listen to

The bottom three currently have a combined 93% of the vote. I guess many of us would agree that this would have been a great 10-song album??

Edit: The album is already great..."an even greater" 10-song album.
