Last night was shots of tres generationes anejo and coronas but not too many. Tonight I shall revisit my lovely vodka. Bought some Russian Standard at recommendation here and shall try at some point. Did not have reyka
So the bottle of Stoli has about one shot left in it. What should I buy next, vodka lovers? Note that I am not yet so discerning that I need an F Me quality bottle.

Ketel is not super high shelf I didn't try the Russian Standard yet but that was cheaper. Sky isn't bad. If you are mixing, sky and absolut are both solid choices. I know you a little though...Well enough to know you have great taste in food and drink. Spend the extra few bucks and go with the Ketel.

I can see why you are so successful in sales. F Me. I bet that line - "I know you well enough to know you have great taste" - goes down a charm
Ketel One it is.

Belvedere is close to Goose, a bit different flavor. This is Mrs Fme's favorite choice for vodka When I run out of Ketel One, Jean Marc XO, and Purity....I drink her Belvedere next. (We have probably fifteen different bottles from parties where people brought different ones I don't like. Titos is OK. I know many people who swear by it as their favorite.
belvedere in my opinion is waaaaay over priced. you'll be happy with titos; and it's gluten free! is purity made out of glacier water? somewhere out west maybe?

All vodka is gluten free no? What kind of wheat would be in it?

It can be made from wheat. Doesn't have to be, and originally wasn't.
and it usually is. Here’s a list of popular Vodkas & what they’re distilled from: – Wheat: Stolichnaya (blend), Grey Goose, Ketel One, Snow Queen, Pearl, Van Gogh (blend), La Chance, Vox, Polar Ice, Absolut, Trump, X-Rated (blend), *Three Olives is also Wheat-distilled, but declares itself to be Gluten-Free on the Three Olives website – Rye: Belvedere – Barley: Finlandia, Koskenkorva – Corn: Smirnoff, SF Vodka “Baker Beach”, Tito’s (Tito’s is certified GF) – Potato: Chopin, Teton Glacier, Monopolowa, Vikingfjord, Luksosowa, Blue Ice – Grape: Cîroc, Bombora, DiVine, SF Vodka “China Beach”
Second question, what the fuck is wrong with gluten?
I like gluten!!!! no clue.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

Good question, Cliffy. My wife likes gluten free stuff. I want extra gluten.
Purity is Swedish, I believe, and is organic certified and filtered a shitton of times. First had it out west, though, as it is served in restaurants there touring the organic piece. I looked it up when I saw it on a menu for martinis and was intrigued. It was a stirred martini and still was fucking nails. (I'm a shaken guy, like James Bond) Went and bought some and enjoy it. Recommended.

Perfect martini to my taste. Hand is frozen from making. A key is the stainless steel martini "glass". Keeps that bastard ice cold.

I could get down with one of those. Just one though. I can't do much more than one martini though.

If I'm home I can drink three or four. If I'm out? One. They are a seriously slippery slope. That is a seven oz but most of my glasses are 9s it 10s. The vermouth is the smallest drop and shaking adds some water from the ice of course, but it's mostly vodka. Martinis are strong stuff. Think I'm going to try HesCalledDyer's Russian Standard recommendation with the next martini.

I pound some manhattans, which is pretty much a glass of rye. As mentioned not s big vodka guy so get tired of martinis after the first. I do really enjoy one though and that one looks good

A friend and her husband love Manhattan's so I know they are ass kickers as well. I drink vodka, tequila, and on occasion some rum. That's about it for liquor. (Burned myself out on everything else between 17 and 30.)
