    I think people on here tend to conflate ethics and law, and propose legal outcomes for unethical behaviour.

    I don’t care who tries to influence. Influence comes from everywhere in the world, inside and out of America. You know how to combat undue thought control? Teach your damn society to listen and think. Just as guns are enablers for mass shootings, a society lacking critical thought is an enabler for undue thought control. Americans will continue to be exploited until this educational deficiency goes away. Ego must go too - none of this matters when so many value being right over being righteous.

    If people are able to determine if outside influence is good or bad then why are we worried that foreigners are creating fake social media profiles in order to project that influence?

    If Russian influence is bad then is Mexico's?  Israel?  Who determines what influence is legal?

    Zero chance of a successful impeachment where they can remove him from office, because you need 67 votes in the Senate, there is zero chance of that, I hate to rain on your impeachment parade, next time study the actual rules, there are not enough John McCain's & Lindsey Graham's who'd defect, a much better bet and one where I'd take ALL OF YOUR MONEY (if we were really betting) is that he gets voted out or chooses not to seek reelection in 2020, that's a much more realistic outcome

    I've always assumed everyone here actually knows impeachment's not realistic.  The GOP has proven that it puts Trump before country.

    With the House flipping in 2018, impeachment hearings will be held, provided Team Mueller reports the crimes I believe he will, namely obstruction of justice, money laundering, FICA violations, tax evasion and perhaps, others. The House will vote to impeach and he'll be impeached. The Senate, having a slim democrat majority after the 2018 mid-terms will hold a trial. The egregiousness of the crimes, 1/3 of senators up for re-election and the 2020 presidential election a year and a half away, it won't be out of reach to reach the  67 required to find Team Trump Treason guilty and remove him from office. If not, after the House impeaches Team Trump Treason, the repubes will pay dearly at the polls. This will make Watergate look like child's play.

    yeah I stay out of the Pearl Jam related rooms except when I need to get tickets, cause people are way too sensitive, and they don't treat everyone evenly, certain people can get away with things others can't, the Mods have ruined the Porch in particular for me, plus there are a couple people who just won't ever leave me alone and always take the other side just to argue, then the Mods end up locking the thread and letting the "bullies" win, so I am like fuck it, I tried the other day, and it's even worse than when I left before, people being even bigger pricks, which is totally fucked up because everyone I have ever met at a show has been majorly cool and we always get along really well. so whatever, these are much easier to deal with regardless if everyone here hates Bernie Sanders or not

He also tried, tried and tried to do something after Sandy Hook, but again, he’s black. Imagine if half of what he’d proposed was passed? But you know, Carter had solar panels on the White House, imagine 1976. Reagan took them off. Today, energy can be produced by fluctuations in temperature and motion.
