so if we have extra fan club tickets for 6/30 my friend's boyfriend might take them, and therefore take my friend with him. Ok, my friend is LITERALLY tone deaf. She really can't hear music. She's said she has trouble distinguishing between 2 different songs. Honestly, I think it would REALLY interesting if she goes.
My girlfriend is not a big fan (yet), but she is not a non-fan. I think she'll have a blast at the MSG shows.
I dunno I tried to get my ex into it because he seemed receptive, and at first he started downloading some songs and stuff, but I think he was just humoring me. I don't think he listens to PJ anymore now that I'm gone. (haha I guess I listened to A LOT of modest mouse and architecture in helsinki over those 9 months...shudder)
"I don't know this song. When are they going to play Betterman? I want to hear Corduroy."
Nothing against those songs.
what song are you talking about that you don't know?
We want to hear FOOTSTEPS if that happens I think I may passout...
but that could also be from the beer...and possible Patron.
"...What have I become, my dearest friend? Everyone I know goes away in the end..."

she (he?) is talking about when you take non-fans to shows and they only want to hear the hits- quoting hypothetical non-fan friend.
yeah well, really it's the only rule . My brother and I don't drink ANYTHING prior to the show- as my brother put it before Boston II 2006: "I'm not gonna be the guy who's in the bathroom when they play leash for the first time in 12 years." that pretty much sums it up. No coffee day of show, limited beverages with meals, and ABSOLUTELY NO beer or other alcohol for us. of course I came extremely close to passing out from dehydration at the last show I went to, what with all the jumping around, but you know, priorities. we also schedule pre-set trips to the restroom, the most important being when the opener is on their last song.

hey there - never been to the Tweeter - I'm in section 1 row L on Monday night - anyone know how bad/good the view is - wondering if I'm in for a night of losing my mind to good sound and watching speaker stacks! thx!
6/30 will be my 20th show! (after Hartford and 6/28)
ok, I know that's not that impressive around here, but it is milestone! my first show was 4/11/94 Boston Garden.
oh and here's my advice: it's not about the tailgating!
My first show was the night after. The mighty Orpheum show. I was in the lower section of the orchestra section. It was just amazing. The next 2 shows I saw were Red Rocks in June 1995. Which was my first airplane ride to see a show. Then there was Montreal 1998 which was my first show outside the US. I only got to see night I of the 2003 Mansfield shows. I try like hell not to miss them when they come around. It just changes my whole attitude for days/weeks after.
Now if I could only get Radiohead tickets for the 8/13 my summer would be complete!
Thanks! Phish was the second band to change my life (after the Dead, before Pearl Jam) :-)
I saw Phish in 1989 at Keene State College for a total of $3 per ticket and they were selling Junta on maxell tapes! What a ride that was. I will honestly say that Nine Inch Nails completely changed my life that wonderful day is August of 1994. Of course Pearl Jam did the previous April but that NIN show, I couldn't move fore a while after they were done. It was as if my jaw was on the ground. I was in shock. I was amazed. I went through a phase of being fearless after that weekend that is for sure.

I'm in Section 11. Anyone know how those seats are? Doesn't really matter to me, just wondering.
They are the third section back, the uncovered seats, so not close at all but in the middle...not a huge venue anyway

Exactly. I guess my sarcastic nature doesn't come across well here.
Also, I'm a guy. LOL
Ohhhhhhhh...sorry, I am a bit slow on the uptake. Again...first show and all.

Sat probably 2ish if not earlier. Monday a bit later...working a halfday in Wellesley. Should be there around 4-5ish on Monday.
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
Works for me!...How about you dissidentman? I can take a 1/2 day that day, I have the next day off. Seemed like a smart move.
Mansfield 2 '08
