Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party! The race for DNC Chairman was, of course, totally "rigged." Bernie's guy, like Bernie himself, never had a chance. Clinton demanded Perez! For first time the failing @nytimes will take an ad (a bad one) to help save its failing reputation. Try reporting accurately & fairly!

    Translation, please?
Obama/Clinton folks colluded to make sure Hillary got the nomination. She lost the election (in very embarrassing fashion).

Obama/Clinton folks now got their man for the DNC chair. It worked out so well the last time Clinton got the DNC chair she wanted (DWS).
They just saved their party. Ellison would have been a terrible choice. If they're lucky the berniebros will get on board and accept it. Just watched Hickenlooper on Meet The Press and a governor like that could very much win in 2020 if the dems would be willing to accept a man from the center.
+a million, although I liked Jehmu Greene ALOT.
Democrats needs to stop identifying themselves by who they voted for last summer. We all lost. Time to move forward and focus on issues, not the cult of personality.
There were problems with all 3 candidates that the Dems put forward this cycle, and I'm just barely including Martin O'Malley.
If HRC had picked Sanders as her running mate as she should have, we're not having this discussion.

The only cult of personality that concerns me is that orange fuck.

I don't know if HRC picking Bernie would have helped or not. Certainly could not have hurt at this point. But there was certainly a segment of voters that came out that none of us saw coming.

I disagree that the only cult that should concern you is the Trumpkin. That one is terrible but the Bernie or Bust mindset contributed to where we are today. As I used to tell one 'banned' member around here... "great is the enemy of good". There was a contingent that was all about Bernie, period. There was a cult of personality surrounding him.

    An exceptional quote?
How about this one, "President Trump had less popular votes than Hillary and won"
That's a fact that seems pretty alternative.

Father of slain Navy SEAL criticizes White House over son's death

  • I can say that after four weeks -- it's been a lot of fun -- but we've accomplished almost everything we've started out to accomplish. The borders are stricter, tighter," Trump said, praising the work of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly. He added: "We're very happy with the way things are working but, again, we've made a lot of promises over the last two years and many of those promises already are kept so we're very honoured by that."
