During a White House press briefing on Thursday, Spicer cited comments from Fox News commentator Andrew Napolitano that Spicer said confirmed that GCHQ took part in a spy operation at Trump Tower.
"Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command," Spicer said, reading from notes in the White House press room on Thursday.
Obama, Spicer said, "didn't use the NSA, he didn't use the CIA, he didn't use the FBI, and he didn't use the Department of Justice."
"He used GCHQ," Spicer continued. "What is that? It's the initials for the British Intelligence Spying Agency."
A representative for GCHQ quickly issued a statement debunking the Fox News report to which Spicer was referring.
"Recent allegations made by media commentator judge Andrew Napolitano about GCHQ being asked to conduct 'wiretapping' against the then president-elect are nonsense," the statement said. "They are utterly ridiculous and should be ignored."
That is how you react, just straight out call the White House a bunch of clowns. No "we will conduct an investigation to dispel these allegations", just a quick "shut the fuck up you idiots, are you high on drugs?" statement.
Unreal.
It's not getting better. It's simply a pattern of behaviour that to me seems very unlikely to change.
While waiting for that delayed Spicy session yesterday I saw a lot of the press corps looking at their phones, getting ready for their individual live shots and what not, not talking to each other. Then SS came out and just steamrolls over them. I thought his podium was going to start moving.
I'd be in favor of some type of an organized, coordinated multi pronged effort to send a message to both Spicer and the President that they couldn't ignore. The OF OBVIOUSLY needs to be constantly reminded of how much he's being paid attention to, BUT he has little or NO regard for some of the most dishonest people, the dishonest press...how would he respond to a 3 day media walkout? Just empty chairs, no CNN, no ABC, no NYT, just crickets.
BTW Rex Tillerson, the former CEO of Exxon-Mobil, and the Fucking Secretary of State of the United States of America is about 1 step away from declaring war on North Korea. He's on a trip with absolutely NO PRESS at all.
Thoughts on Monday's executive order for the "reorganization" of the Executive Branch? No one seems to be talking about this. I'm not extremely fluent in legalese but it seems to me that the Directors of gov't agencies will now have the right to merge or disband agencies or components/programs within the agencies as they see fit (to their agenda). This is dangerous stuff, folks! #MeinDrumpf

Matt Tait, a former information security specialist for GCHQ who founded the UK-based security firm Capital Alpha Security, said that GCHQ's statement pushing back against the White House was "very unusual" and "would have been signed off at the very highest levels of the organization."
But it makes sense that they'd push back so rigorously, since what the White House had accused them of would be "unambiguously illegal," Tait added.
"GCHQ — unlike its US counterparts — is very rigorous at not saying anything about what it does, saying 'it is a matter of long standing policy that the UK does not discuss intelligence matters', even in cases where it might be beneficial to deny an untrue claim," Tait said. "For GCHQ to go beyond that statement, not merely to say 'the allegation is false', but to call it 'nonsense', is an enormous step for an agency that is traditionally very tight-lipped about who it targets and how."
FOX NEWS ALERT: Jihadis using religious visa to enter US, experts warn (via @FoxFriendsFirst)/ North Korea is behaving very badly. They have been "playing" the United States for years. China has done little to help!
The White House included a satirical column in its list of news stories meant to promote Trump agenda — apparently ignoring the fact that the column actually savages Trump's new budget.

Funny, I feel the same way about the people constantly defending the jackass.
