This is what strikes me as odd:

If Trump found out he was being tapped why would he tweet it and kickstart and investigation unless he is certain there is nothing there?
    Could he be that stupid?

I'm sure it's been speculated here and elsewhere, but when I see the tweets from Saturday morning, I view someone who sees a crisis is coming and they're trying to get out in front of the storm/story. That's just how it reads to me.

The narcissist thinks he's never done anything wrong in his entire life.

Remember in his last press before the election when he publicly asked the Russians to hack Hillary?

Of course he is that stupid.

No kidding. Not much minefield on Obama's side, since he actually knew what he was doing. trump calling for an investigation is sure to back fire. I guess don will learn the hard way to not tweet when high.

yep...might as well start deflecting now to create the diversion.

I've heard a few people point out the ridiculousness of Trump dropping what could be the biggest bomb in US political history (the idea that Obama tapped his phones...absent a court order it is presumed) and then soon after following up with a tweet about Swartzenegger and the Apprentice.

To go off on those two subjects (as POTUS) within a few minutes of each other is very disturbing to me. Trump is a fucking lunatic.

Yup, and by suggesting illegal behaviour by Obama & rallying supporters, he's already undermining any results before they come out. We already have people ready to dismiss the results because of how the info was allegedly collected. This is all very deliberate.

    While I do believe Trump's a paranoid sociopath, I don't think he's stupid.

Only by the public reports that he is reading, not because he has any direct knowledge. Whereas Clapper has knowledge. But again, to emphasize a point, FBI requests may not necessarily be known to Clapper.

Well if you read this semi-carefully, doesn't Foreign Intelligence services imply intelligence captured by other countries, not the US? Pretty sure the Brits, Israelis, etc. don't go to FISA.

Which is interesting, because of the few people who reference facts about what they didn't like about Obama, those facts will only be magnified under trump.

Hmmm. That is a different and interesting way to look at it. Is the information from a foreign service that was then shared? Good question.

Read the tweet from NBC News... Comey is fighting with the DOJ...saying the accusation is false.

Nobody is questioning relevance. What is being questioned is evidence. So far there is not much. It is guilt by innuendo. Trump has basically lit a fire under all the accusations. If there are transcripts or recordings then that will have to come out now. If there was just one simple breach of his computer as per Hillary's statement below with zero follow on evidence then it's over.

And now the article... I hope we only have one public official lying (Trump) rather than Clapper and Comey. Although one would have to wonder why Comey would cover for Obama, no?

It's all part of Trumps brilliant plan. We just don't understand it because he is operating on a whole different level with his good brain.

The genius of it all will become apparent in the coming days.

It totally has nothing to do with Trump hearing about Obama getting back into politics. Then, feeling threatened, he lashed out... In the only way he knows how to, through Twitter.

That kind of behavior is beneath a pussy grabber like Trump.

Also, how long till they find a reason to axe Comey?

This administration is an absolute disaster, I don't see how anyone can spin this in a positive light.
