Never been to paperless ticket show. Sounds like it seems like a disaster trying to get 50,000 people into a show having to show id and credit card.
    Anyone have a bad experience?

not the whole stadium is paperless. just the GA. FYI
Not sure about that. Reading on u2 forums seats were paperless as well.

Wow. I didn't know people did this.
These are going to be big shows, I don't think the TM public sale tix will be all that hard to get...
Ya, I was surprised to see that. What ebay was showing for other listings was crazy. Big bucks to buy presale code that only allowed you to go have a chance at seeing what tickets you could get, which are pricey too!
These are very typical prices for u2. Guarantee these shows sell out pretty quick. I mean we are talking about arguably the worlds most popular rock n roll band playing their best album.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

i should have said some reserved sections will also be paperless as well. i still really doubt the upper levels and the whole stadium will be all paperless

with a unique u2 fan club code it should be very easy. if they are trying to buy a new fan club membership and the ticket all at once today i would say that is going to be much harder as im sure the band wants it's pre existing members with the unique codes to get those GA tickets first. i bet if they try for the $280 tickets and buying the fan club membership they will have better luck. those $70 GA's are GOLD. just my thoughts.

It was pretty easy. First try on my iphone I got the Ga's. Trying from the computer was only able to pull up 500 level.
    Both were CC entry only.

Anyone have (in order of preference) a code for Cleveland, Pitt, or DC?
  • TFlyerTFlyer Posts: 881
Went for it and bought tickets today for DC + the $50 fanclub membership. Got good seats. I don't regret it really, now I wont have to deal with the stress of scrambling to get the tickets during general onsale.

Excited to see what the membership gift will be!

Looks like they took their time in releasing the GA tickets....got mine for the Rose Bowl over an hour after the initial on-sale.

Totally thought these went on sale at 12pm not 9am

So there is no way to get secondary market GA at all?

Lots of GA tix available for Toronto now. I too could not get a sniff of a GA ticket this morning. The late release is to make everyone buy the shitty overpriced seats, then they release the GA's. I've noticed in the last 6 months that TM is getting sneakier with presales and resale tix. I won't get into it in this thread, but they are getting worse with the tricks they play.

I've learned not to buy the first seats that come up during pre-sales/on-sales.......if relatively good seats come up, I grab them, but if better seats then come up, I grab those, and call TM to get a refund on the original lesser seats.
  • Anybody getting MetLife tix that have buyers remorse let me know.

    I'd love some GA tix!

You're my hero!!!!! :) Just got 2 GA tix. Thank you so much!!
It was pretty hairy for a bit there. As has happened to me for the last THREE U2 sales, once I went to finalize payment there was some error that only happens for this band, lol, and I couldn't score any more for a few minutes. But then it finally all came together.

Question: When it's credit card entry and your card expires between buying the tix and the show, does the CC entry carry over to the renewed card, or do you have to bring the expired one?

Have your CC company send you new card with same number now, knowing it expires soon. They have done that for me in the past. Can't remember if it was Chase or US Bank... :i_dunno:
