And now for the consequences of the left's intentions...

Russia is still acting in belligerent ways across the globe. Yesterday they deployed cruise missles in violation of current agreements.

    https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/02/14/world/europe/russia-cruise-missile-arms-control-treaty.html?referer=http://www.drudgereport.com/

Trump on a vocal level has been discussing improving relations with Russia while on a practical level has been acting much tougher through actions at the UN along with stances of his other cabinet members such as Mattis overseas. The problem we have is the left is moving so hard on Trump's "possible" campaign relationship with Russia that effectively both countries are being moved closer to conflict. There are real world implications to what is happening right now and as somebody who has been blasting Putin for a long time I actually think the left and the deep state are playing right into his hands. The previous administration had no answer to Russia and the current administration is going to get boxed to only bad choices.

To be fair, Putin took Crimea under Obama's watch. Putin took control of Syria under Obama's watch. I think Putin had zero fear of Obama. He did fear Hillary.

He's always had Syria. They've been a 'sovereign' ally for a long time. But yes, the Crimean invasion happened under Obama along with the Russian backed rebels downing of a Dutch commercial airline (some people around here either forget that or think it's fake). But the Obama administration did not turn a blind eye. They instilled sanctions and were trying to pressure the Soviets Russians to pull back. That pressure is all gone now.

And yes, Putin blames Hillary for allegedly manufacturing protests against him several years ago. Good for her. Nothing is more admirable than having a piece of shit like Putin hate you.

Well at least it looks like anti-russian hawks are gaining the upper hand in the administration which is ok with me. Glad that going forward we'll all be on the same page when it is time to hit russia hard.

    Well this interesting...

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/02/15/exclusive-shadowy-iranian-general-visits-moscow-violating-sanctions.html

As I outlined earlier the goal right now should be to split Russia and Iran. If the cards are played right it might be possible...who knows. The problem is the Pro-Iranian Obama holdouts are against a tougher stand against Iran and would rather box in the new administration from working with Russia to this end.

who said anything about "hitting them hard"? which I assume you mean military action with that language?

I just don't want our president and his cronies on the Kremlin payroll or to be completely compromised. pretty simple.

Woah woah woah. I thought you were all outraged! Today I am reading that Russian actions in your elections was as bad as Pearl Harbor and 9/11! An attack such as that along with spy ships on the east coast and military jets buzzing your planes plus further destabilization in Ukraine will have to require a military response! You don't want puppet Trump to just let Putin roll all over you and the world do you? Clearly you want Russian actions checked beyond the sanctions already in place don't you? Is this only about Trump or do you want to put Russia in their place? C'mon man! Do you not care? Are you a russian puppet as well? Do I need to follow the money?

you getting desperate? because this is just silly

I haven't seen anybody on the left, or anybody in general, say that military intervention is needed. you definitely didn't here that from me.

I think Americans, which I am an American, don't want our white house controlled and compromised by Putin and the Kremlin. you, as a Canadian, are clearly comfortable with it

for some reason you refuse to see what is happening right in front of your face. but like I said, i'm not wasting energy trying to change your mind.

BS, you should know that America only takes on weak states. You really expect the US to take on a nuclear power? That would be a fair fight. See Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, et al. Also see Soviet Union, KAL 007, China, Tiannam Square Bush I, seizure of E3, surrvielence aircraft Bush II. You must be Crimean, like Senator McCain?

And yes, you do need to follow the money.

Well at least it looks like anti-russian hawks are gaining the upper hand in the administration which is ok with me. Glad that going forward we'll all be on the same page when it is time to hit russia hard.

who said anything about "hitting them hard"? which I assume you mean military action with that language?

BS, you should know that America only takes on weak states. You really expect the US to take on a nuclear power? That would be a fair fight. See Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, et al. Also see Soviet Union, KAL 007, China, Tiannam Square Bush I, seizure of E3, surrvielence aircraft Bush II. You must be Crimean, like Senator McCain?

The Cold War was a proxy battle of nuclear powers. There was only one country equal to us and that was the Soviet Union. And fortunately neither super power unleashed a nuclear bomb. Don't forget General MacArthur advocated for nuking Korea until Truman relieved him of his duties (rightfully). So I'm not really following your point here. And McCain is right to advocate on behalf of the Ukrainians.

Because we're not going to go to war with Russia over Crimea or Syria as much as BS would like us to. Does anyone expect or think that Russia would go to war with us over, say Mexico or El Salvador? Of course not, its our so called sphere of influence. But you know, those Sarah Palin acolytes would love to see the rapture, so there is that. And don't forget, Putin still has his nose out of whack for the humiliation that was Afghanistan. Paybacks a bitch.

I didn't realize that was your point. Yes I agree that there is no war afoot with Russia over Crimea, Cuba or anywhere. War today iwth Russia is economic war and it's espionage.
