NO! I would prefer this food item be forever removed from the Thanksgiving menu.
Whenever I shoot out a snot rocket, I imagine myself as Johnny Appleseed planting green beans.

They are. They are the greatest of beans. They grow like, well, beans! There is a reason Jack climbs a bean stalk... 10 feet of beans double planted on a trellis will yeild 3-6 bushels of beans. That is more than a typical family can eat unless they are dried, pickled, or souped and frozen. I have green beans in my spare bedroom waiting for me to thresh them, no preservation required. Beans are nitrogen fixing as well.
You can eat them young and tender in the pod, you can let them mature until plump and shell them for the fresh beens inside, or you can let them die and dry and thresh them for dry storage beans.
Green beans are more versatile than most foods.

Don't talk shit on beans or you will be out of your element Donnie.

    Good info.
I love Green Beans and prepare them at least once a week for my family.
This does not change the fact that I find GBC to be an abhorrent dish -- something that makes me want to vomit.

I make mine from scratch...homemade cream of mushroom soup, fresh green beans, add bacon. I won't eat anybody else's.

Convinced a devout GBC hater to try it, and he had seconds.

Maybe next year just make it with the green beans and bacon?

    Merely a suggestion.....

Most meals(foods) aren't easily available healthy, or made that way anyway, lol. I prefer to have my veggies on the healthy side. Very easy to make & much better for you too.

Look at this -- people put this on the T-giving buffet.  (Looks like a dog bowl filled with barf)

 I guess I voted differently last year.

I will eat it but do prefer corn - just plain from the can no additives.

In fairness I did a search for "disgusting green bean casserole" and picked on I thought looked like a bowl of barf.  There are likely pictures out there that make it appear to be edible.

Kilbasa on your buffet?  We don't have that, but I love that stuff and would happily welcome it.
