Sorry,droptheleash9 said:Can we stop with the whole sweeping generalization that ALL "Trump Supporters are racist, sexist, homophobic?" I've stated time and time again that I don't support either candidate but it's bugged me that media outlets, social media avenues, and, frankly, this forum has perpetuated this fallacy and branded that knucklehead's supporters as such. If you were following the election on that Tuesday night you would have seen that Trump actually over-performed among young, African-American, Hispanic, and women voters relative to past republican candidates ultimately because the DNC chose a candidate that so many people loathe. I know many people, across a wide array of socioeconomic classes, races, and age groups who voted both ways in the election and I wouldn't consider any of them, on either side of the political aisle, as racist, sexist, or homophobic. Lastly, I will admit I enjoyed the irony of people using the 1st amendment of the Constitution to protest the 12th amendment in all of the cities across the US.
We can only continue to remain positive and hope and pray for a better candidate in 2020.

Until you admit that all President-elect Trump supporters are scum you will be hated and scorned.
Weird huh?
so they conger up race issues and add on to comments that he's made, all the hallmarks of a sore loser.
Godfather.
Or.......did a bunch of bumpkin boobs, gun nuts, racists and anti-gay pricks just get their true feelings messaged enough in public to vote for a disaster of a human who's just as dumb as the roughly 80 IQ points most of his backers voted with? Is every trump supporter one of these groups I've just mentioned? I guess that's debatable. But every single one of those types people I know voted for Trump. They also justify that vote with the type of responses used on here, lacking any sort of real substance or intelligence.
That's all I'm going to say, and move on. Oh, I just might close my comment with a hallmark of a self-inflating, pretend intellectual.....owning only complete ignorance with every comment I see.

The hate from non-President-elect Trump voters is palpable.
They need to turn their frown upside down, go for a walk and pretend they are living in Hillary land.0 -
You guys are in denial. Try to understand that people are upset that we have an authoritarian, bigoted, sex offender for a president.0

and, Trumps policies on the right to bare arms-I like
polices on taxes- I like
policies on immigration control- I like
and that's why I voted for him, if you don't know what his policies are you might want to look them up yourself...unless your one of those
crying millennials then in that case policies wont matter.

all this talk of the kkk and trump. I wonder who the black panther party supports? there will always be idiots out there. they will align with someone. doesn't make their party a representation of them.0

I understand the denial around racism because it's an ugly element in our society. Trump's policies overlap with what white supremacist groups want to see put in place. He's not directly connected to the klan, but he's carrying out what they want to see happen. There's also a core group of Americans, 15% or so, that you could essentially call bigots or strong xenophobes (some are in AMT), which is how trump got nominated. The 'there will always be idiots out there' is just straight denial, but one of those idiots is about to be president.jackrabbit slim said:all this talk of the kkk and trump. First of all, people know elements of trump's past which contains blatant racism. Regardless of that, his stance on Muslim immigrants and his immigration plan has a foundation in prejudice and fear. When you tell fearful Americans that you want to stop Muslims from coming into the country, they now have their fear (Muslims are terrorists) confirmed by a person in power. This now gives them permission to act on this. It's the same with Mexicans. Trump is a bigot himself, and he also knows how to manipulate other (as sex offenders often do). He said illegal immigration is a problem worthy of his high level of attention. People that are easily manipulated then followed along, thinking that illegals are now this huge problem. No one needed to define the problem or explain why. Mexicans and Muslims were made the villain of this election by republicans, and people bought into it. They make villains every four years, because when your core world view is that our country is in decline, and things were better in the past, then you need a reason, or target, for that decline. Sometimes this threat is external (Soviet Union & other spooky commies) and sometimes internal (Mexicans, welfare moms, etc.).mcgruff10 said:

but how exactly is it racist when talking about people who are here illegally?
And he has backed off his stance on blocking all muslim emigrating here.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0 -
He's attaching something negative to the group and generalizing across the whole group (terrorist, rapists, etc). He's made them a threat that they are not. You and I can dissect trump's words all we want, but it's too late. People who are violent don't do that. They were waiting for the green light, and they got it.mcgruff10 said:but how exactly is it racist when talking about people who are here illegally?
