    I agree. I feel like Lightning Bolt is so similar to Unthought Known though. I'm starting to prefer LB more, and it makes me forget how great Unthought Known is.

    the more i think about Backspacer the more i realize how upbeat of an album this was minus a couple songs...every time I listen its an instant mood changer

    Exactly. I didnt think that it would be my "go to" post 2000 PJ album but it is. Very easy listen.

    Lightning Bolt is one of those albums that, to me, is "solid overall" from start to finish - but I don't really feel that there is any particular standout song that makes me think "this song is great!" or that ranks this album all that high in their catalog. My favorite tracks though are Getaway, My Father's Song, and Infallible. Solid musicianship/vocals throughout, and fun to play along with on the drums!

    I really like Unthought Known but I wouldn't say that it saved the record. There are a lot of really good songs on the album.
