    I'm only looking for an open one to spin. I would never buy a sealed one for that much and then open it and spin it!

    I own this set and it sounds absolutely amazing on vinyl.
    The sound of the room is captured very well in my opinion.
    If you ever get a chance it's a must have.
    Id buy another if the reissued it but would it sound the same?
    If someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse it it be hard to say no...

    It was actually mastered for Vinyl.  Whether it was done in the best possible way is debatable, but things have changed drastically in the course of the last 14 years in the industry in respect to vinyl.  It is not black.  It is also not worth $1,000, except for the fact that people have paid 3x that.

    It is not simply a digital file from the cd pressed to wax.  
    His eminence has yet to show.
