Seems to be a rash of lunacy around this poster lately.

I own 2 of them myself and I honestly don't understand what the hype is around it. Trust me, I'm glad it is worth what it is, but I never got the obsession with it. It's like someone sprinkled crack on all of them, ha.

The luster wore off on me, too. I thought it was super cool day of the show, couldn't wait til it popped up in the 10C shop since I missed out 3 different times at Consol. Is it neat artwork? Sure! Do I want it on my walls? Meh, not really. I, too, am happy for the hype because I sold it last summer and it paid the security deposit on my apartment. No desire to ever hunt it down again, either.

I had it in my cart when 10c was selling but left it for someone who wanted it. Nice poster, feel the same as rbrum7 and dyer on it. Just not my cup of tea.

You guys are nuts. This poster along with Salt Lake City 2009 are the two best posters in the last 10 years. IMO.

In the world of PJ concert prints, that's not really saying much.

many people find it attractive/cool looking vs. the vast majority of concert posters are unattractive, and/or have no literal or figurative connection to the host city/venue
  • My vote still goes to Hartford 2013 for best poster since 2010.

    Some would argue Donkey Kong.

Oh no!!! Sweet daddy lou is getting sour LOL

Some great prints in 2010. Off the top of my head
You got the kong of course.
Mark 5 St. Louis was awesome.
    Justin Hampton Hartford was cool
Boston as well. And brad klausen had a few great looking ones
But not epic like Pitt ( I guess )
The beauty of art. A gem in one persons eye and not so much in the other

Its a hometown concert for me, so I'm partially biased. But everything about that poster is awesome. The subject matter, the little references to NYC, and the colors and lettering especially.

Lol! You know me too well David! Sure there were some good ones, not sure their better, but to each his own. Personally I like more creative stuff like Pitt (referencing Kong), what's next McDonald's?

In my opinion, it is the most creative poster in years (regardless of the hype and value). Also very relevant to the city. Can't see how anyone could knock it for any reason.
