I say Europe next summer for a few festivals and 6-8 arena/amphitheater shows sprinkled in, and then S.A. in the fall of next year...maybe AU/NZ in there somewhere. I don't see a new album till probably 2018. They don't need a new album to support these short run tours right now so I can't imagine they have any pressure at all to record anything until they are good and ready. Ed has a couple solo things coming up and then there is the TOTD stuff this fall. I think it's a good long break and we'll see some summer 2017 dates announced for Europe early next year.

Maybe I'm just thinking small, but my immediate thoughts turned to the official bootlegs for the Wrigley shows. I've been to 7 shows total including these two shows at Wrigley, but two were PJ20 and another Wrigley in '13. I enjoy all the bootlegs I have, but my first show (Chicago 8/24/09 and Moline) are far and away my favorites having been in attendance. The two Wrigley shows are something I'd like to be able to relive. I know I can find audience recordings if I look for them, but really like the quality of the official boots.

8-24-09 is an incredible show. And I'm with you, there's tons of boots out there but nothing from 1/2 of the shows I've been to in the last 5 years. I'm really hoping for a boot and dvd. Wrigley (and Fenway) deserve the video treatment!

There are no Temple of the Dog plans beyond this November, but the group doesn't rule out booking more shows. "I hope if these go well, there will be more in the future," says McCready. "That's kind of why we didn't want to do an extensive tour. We just wanted to feel out the landscape. I hope we can go to Europe. It depends on how much fun we have with it, and how much people get out of it."

From a Rolling Stone article before the shows all sold out in seconds. I wouldn't be surprised if they did a few dates in Europe in the spring.

My guess: Europe, Midwest & West Coast dates. They'll start tinkering in the studio with a new album in 2018.
    I LOVE MUSIC.

  • Yeah, I don't think there will be any album in 2017 either. Europe tour in June/July (which would be awesome) and then West Coast in the fall.
  • Ed on tour with TOTD ... hopefully. Can take lead vocals on select Mother Love Bove tunes and give Chris a break during shows.

At the time, I was just getting back into the band, so didn't appreciate how good of a setlist it was. When I listen back now -- so many songs in my first show that would have otherwise been "white whale" types of songs. At the time, I was just happy to get several of my favorites (especially SOLAT). Also the show really opened up Lost Dogs -- so many good songs on there. Hard to Imagine may be my favorite opener that I've seen.
  • Didn't think about this until I saw the announcement from the Stones, but why not a covers album? A number of live staples would be a good foundation for a fun record.
