No Camping at Wrigley

Any ideas/ suggestions on how to get rail at Wrigley since there is no camping? I was going to start around noon on Friday and now I don't know what to do.

They said no early lineup for merch too and that certainly still happened. From Facebook there is at least one guy already there. Unless the police are going to show up and roust people (which is possible) I don't know how anyone can stop you.

    Ten Club Email update:
Subject: Pearl Jam Wrigley 8/22 GA Entrance Update

Update for Wrigley 8/22 GA Pit ticket holders.

The Ten Club GA entrance has changed. The GA pit entrance is now located at the Bleacher entrance on the corner of Sheffield and Waveland.

Due to construction in the neighborhood, camping out in line over night is not permitted. Fans can start lining up no earlier than 9am on show day. Venue security will be in place to enforce this time restriction, direct fans, and answer questions.
    *************************************************************************************************************************************************

I sincerely hope 10c polices any unofficial lines forming off-site, or the GA will be a complete shitshow.

Makes sense for Monday's GA line because of construction. Any email updates specific to Saturday as well?

How we've corrupted a night of music with merch craziness and front row craziness. Count me guilty. Somehow 99.2% of concert attendees still go even though they are not in the first five rows yet somehow still have great time as well. Front row is like a harder drug for some people. They no longer get any high from a Pearl Jam shows where the average fan sits but have to be close to the stage to get their "fix".

I assume he is the unofficial/official list guy who is keeping track of the order.

takes a good deal of dedication to get to the front these days. The vast majority act with decency and queue properly. If its worth it, you gotta put the hours in. Those who do? fair play to them

That's the picture floating around Facebook but I'm honestly not even sure that is Wrigley he is standing outside of.

I think it is, as the bleacher entrance (used for GA) was recently reconstructed. He's sitting across the street. Here's a rendering (link).

Ah, that makes sense. The building definitely looks newer than any part of Wrigley I remember seeing three years ago.

I'll bet Fenway was so nice not having to loiter over night in the urban jungle. There is no line till 9 correct? In that case, this guy has no more dibs on the 1st spot in the line than someone who arrives at 8:59 day of show.
If we are going to follow the rules of the horrible GA system, lets follow them all. #reserved>GA

My general approach to GA: Show up an hour before the opening act, walk in with no line, watch the show from about 10 yards behind the people who squandered an entire day of their lives queued up outside the venue.

The obsession with the rail makes no sense to me. I'm sorry. I know it's important to some people.

Having been in the front row (seated) several times back in the day - and many variations away since. The front row stuff was incredible - but just as good 5 rows away, 10 rows away, on the sides and waaaaaay the fuck back in a GA lawn situation. I love the enthusiasm behind it all - to each their own. So, who wants to order this guy sitting outside a pizza and a beer?

I wish all of you going for the rail for this show the best of luck! I did it in 2013 and got the rail, and totally lost it after the weather delay. If you manage to get to the front and security makes you leave because of lightning, do your best to delay your move until they absolutely force you to move back. It was really hard to get back to the front after that happened. Hopefully they are more prepared for you this year. It should be epic.
