I keep hoping for the same. My only guess is they have to make more prints and set a time for him to sign them all, and maybe some legal work, I have no idea on that. Dont know why he wouldnt. Sit down for an hour, write your name a few hundred times and make $10,000 while making your fans happy at the same time. Win/WIn!.
So I'm thinking that these deluxe editions should also include a Mike potato head guitar pick, just to tie it all together... Oh, and maybe sign the book too to separate out the first run from the second, which would just have the signed Polaroid. Thanks Mike!!
Pearl Jam Guitarist Mike McCready Preps Polaroid Photo Book
'Of Potato Heads and Polaroids' boasts years of candid concert, celebrity pictures. Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready will publish a new photo book packed with candid concert and celebrity pictures. By Jon Blistein
Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready will release a photo book comprising an array of Polaroid pictures taken over the past several years. Of Potato Heads and Polaroids: My Life Inside and Out of Pearl Jam is expected to arrive in May via Power House Books.
McCready has carried his Poladroid camera on countless Pearl Jam tours and throughout his own travels, documenting everything from concerts, art and architecture to candid shots of friends and family. The book will fittingly feature a slew of celebrity candids including pictures of Neil Young, Questlove, Paul McCartney, Sting, Dave Grohl, Bono, Jack White, Lady Gaga, Dustin Hoffman, Venus Williams and more. The book's title refers to a recurring character in McCready's pictures — a Mr. Potato toy the guitarist also hauls around with him.
Pearl Jam spent much of 2016 on the road celebrating their 25th anniversary, while McCready also reunited with his early grunge supergroup, Temple of the Dog, for a handful of shows. Pearl Jam are now gearing up for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Earlier this month, the band announced that they would invite all five of their former drummers to the induction ceremony after a minor controversy. When the 2017 inductees were named, only Ten's Dave Krusen and current drummer Matt Cameron were listed alongside rest of the band, leaving out Matt Chamberlain, Dave Abbruzzese and Jack Irons.
Pearl Jam will perform at the April 7th Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It's the group's only scheduled 2017 date, though Eddie Vedder will play a string of solo shows in Europe this summer.
I just double checked my cc to make sure that I wasn't giving erroneous information out and I definitely haven't been charged yet. I ordered on the 10th. order status says waiting
10c is the only place I know that charges most pre-sale items at time of purchase. I remember paying for some of the vault vinyls and waiting 3 months to be delivered, but being charged right away. It isn't a big deal, but was the reason I hesitated pulling the trigger the first time. I didn't think it would sell out so I thought I may as well wait to pay for it. Then it was pointed out to me it said they wouldn't charge until it ships, and it did, but it sounds like that wasn't true. Made sure to pick it up this time though.
