Cheapest pair right now is 464.10 after fees on SH. Granted the seats are not great, but I dont think that is outrageous. Its a Saturday show in a major city at an iconic ballpark. Splitting the pair with a friend @ $232 each doesnt seem that horrible. Singles went for 400 for the 13' Wrigley show. Just a matter of how bad you want to be there.

You don't think that is outrageous? More than double face value is a complete ripoff. I hate stubhub so much
It's completely outrageous, but people will pay it. There's no way I would pay that much. Would just have to suck it up, sit home and preiscope it.

My single Wrigley in 2013 cost me 350... And that was a 10c ticket from another member

My buddy paid nearly $400 for a nosebleed in 2013 and still regrets it to this day. But at the time, it was just one of those "have to be there" moments. After airfare, hotel, and spending, he spent about $1500

speedy has brought up an incredible point more than once --- fans are willing to pay hundreds (sometimes $1k +) of dollars for vinyls, backpacks, lap top bags, posters, -insert any piece of merch that just adds unnecessary clutter to your house-, but when it comes to paying to see the band live (which is why we follow and love the band, right?), people have an extreme problem with paying above face value for a ticket.

the secondary market prices for the two wrigley shows are pretty reasonable in my opinion (for the upper deck anyways). i imagine prices will go up as the date gets closer, so if you are on the fence, i would just pull the trigger on seats in the nosebleeds and call it a day and not stress about getting completely shut out as the date gets closer and closer.

Great point. At the end of the day IMO no merchandise is worth more than an experience of actually attending any of the shows. Merchandise are material things that throughout life can fade, or be lost. But the memories I have of attending the shows, and meeting awesome people at the pre-parties and gatherings will stay with me forever. I don't think there is any merch or any "holy grail" PJ item I could be offered to give up my tickets to Wrigley. I understand at the end of the day, most people don't have too much a problem paying insane amounts of money for certain items because they retain a High value and demand. But I'd rather have the experience.

I could live to be 250 years old, and that little fact will NEVER, EVER, make any sense to me. People have no problem paying $400 for a rare or special poster like Cracker Jack, or have no problem paying $50 each, for an entire tours worth of posters(10-20 posters). These posters are a MUST HAVE. These same people will pay $200 for a backpack that they missed out on, because GOD FORBID there is someone on this planet that has a piece of merchandise that they don't have. They will pay $100-$300 each for vinyl copies of each and every Pearl Jam album ever released.

BUT YET NOT IN A MILLION YEARS, WILL THESE SAME PEOPLE SPEND $1 MORE THAN FACE VALUE, TO SEE PEARL JAM LIVE?

It just doesn't make any sense to me.
    And it never will.

Paying $232 to see any band is b.s. In my opinion..especially since I've seen them so many times..My friends in 2013 got tix off the street for face close to showtime. That's the route I'm gonna take this year.

In your case, you dont want to be there bad enough to spend 232 bones. Others are thats all

$232 isn't bad --- but everyone has a budget. if you are a person whose budget includes $100 for a ticket and $100 for merch, and if you currently don't have a ticket are you willing to put that $100 in merch money towards admission to see the band?

or is the goal to get your way on both fronts? see the show for a $100 and drop $100 on a t-shirt and buttons?

How crowded will GA be? Going to Wrigley GA both shows.

sold out, not a single GA ticket on stubhub either show. I think Saturday GA was all 10C (never saw a single GA ticket up for grabs on stubhub), and Monday GA is like 95% 10C (saw a couple up for grabs on stubhub, but not anymore.)

I saw 2 GA on stubhub for the Saturday show the other day... they wanted 1700$ each.
The tickets are now gone... either sold or removed....

Alot. I don't remember the exact price, but it was alot. I read some stories on here about it, and when I met up with the person I sold my day 2 ticket to, she said that the night before, she couldn't find even a single ticket and ended up sitting across the street during the concert with "a bunch" of other saddened fans.

I just don't want to see anyone get shut out of wrigley by thinking the prices will go down. It's a saturday night in a major city, theres NO reason why the prices would go down.

I agree, but I was desperate. I had stalked StubHub for months before the show and at that point, it was either pay up or miss out, and I sure as hell wasn't missing out.

I bought my single in section 213 row 16 on SH for MSG 1 out the door for $270.75. No one was trading MSG 1 on the forums. Almost identical to what is happening for Wrigley 1.

$150 for a ticket for the Sunday show is a bargain.

Would it still be a bargain if PJ decided to start charging $232 for 500 level tix?

I think it's crazy how the secondary market has conditioned people to think $500 for a pair of concert tix is a bargain

I'm not judging, to each his own, but $500 for nosebleeds? Lol

Would it still be a bargain if PJ decided to start charging $232 for 500 level tix?

I think it's crazy how the secondary market has conditioned people to think $500 for a pair of concert tix is a bargain

I'm not judging, to each his own, but $500 for nosebleeds? Lol
That is a whole other animal. We have seen that with the GNR tour this year. Face for those tix are nuts. If PJ wanted to charge $232 face for shows, would I buy it? Yes. Is it a bargain? No. Im simply referring to the secondary market for those who did not hit the lottery or score on the public sale. I did not win the lottery for Wrigley 1, but was lucky enough to score on the public sale. I wouldnt say that $232 is a bargain, but I do think it would be reasonable. But hey, everyone has their limits. Im not loaded by any means. If I needed to buy secondary market tix, you just have to tighten the belt. Go out to one less dinner, buy less merch, sell spare merch ect. The stadium shows went on sale in February. Plenty of time to save $232 bones IMO

Is that including the additional fees? I see a pair in section upper 503 row 5 for $200.00 ea. for Saturday night.

    2013 was unique.

    1. First time at Wrigley
    2. Chicago's only big rock show for the summer
    3. 1 of only 2 North American shows

None of these apply this year. I think Saturday will be expensive but Monday will be cheap by show day.

2013 they had a huge North American tour! That was the LB tour.
You can't compare the demand for tickets for Wrigley 2013 to Wrigley 2016. Wrigley 2013 was a Friday night in July in a major US city after the band hardly played any US shows in 2011 and 2012. The Lightning Bolt US tour wasn't announced until the week before the Wrigley shows. I flew to Philly this year and got tickets for face value both nights, it just requires some effort and patience. In 2013 people were getting tickets for Wrigley at the box office around 4 or 5 pm. If you're willing to put some time in, most Pearl Jam shows the past few years have had ticket drops at the box office the day of the show. Scalpers will have overpriced tickets outside the venue, fans will have extra tickets outside the venue. Pay a scalper after the show has started. I'd do all of these things before paying well over face value for a Pearl Jam show.

That's the other frustrating part about some of these secondary market sellers. They charge an insane amount with additional fees.

    Yeah,

And they take a 15% cut from the seller, so the seller actually will only get $340 of the $490

Then its no wonder why the sellers ask for such an insane amount to begin with.

That defiantly contributes to the problem. Sellers have to figure in SH's cut when they set their price. Its a brutal biz but buyers have the peace of mind knowing tix are legit rather than buying for less from a scalper off the street or CL
