They need to put RITFW on the shelf for a bit.......

I super duper agree with this. Great cover, but it's too much already. We need a break.

Fast version or slow version of IBIM?

Slow, but I do also enjoy the fast one. I like when covers are transformed :)

Agree on RITFW, but strangely I"m not at all sick of Baba. Maybe because there's nothing like 20k + singing the chorus together. Everyone knows that song, regardless of how into PJ you are. And the scream.... It's also a pretty short song.

twelfed on RITFW. It is a nice 'farewell' song and you get a great couple of solos... so there is that.
But I dont know. Kind of sick of the song itself. Its always just kind of there.

Fortunate Son was pretty solid sans Sleater Kinney

Loved Know Your Rights too. Fun song. Would like to see it brought out on rare occasion.

The Seeker I remember enjoying, but dont think I have heard it in a long time, too much to make a call

LROM is mind blowing. I've been fortunate enough to see them do this twice, hands down my favorite.

I'm surprised to see the dislike for Mother on here, for me that's a close second. Heard it @ Wrigley and Denver '14, and both times I teared up. I love that cover.

Comfortably Numb is damn good, I just heard it in Philly...... can't wait for the boot.

They could give RITFW a break for a few years IMO. It's been beaten to death.

Wasn't that just one performance or something like that?

Imagine was a nice treat a few years ago and hearing Comfortably Numb in Lexington was good as well

would love to hear Reign sometime as well
  • I have said previously on other threads I would like to hear Pearl Jam cover more Pink Floyd songs like Comfortably Numb and Wish You Were Here, I will have to check this out

Seen it on you tube , pretty cool and don't forget how mike honours David gilmours solo with style. From my experience free world is my favourite , although real me in Manchester UK '09 was cool. But whatever fits the mood...punk or acoustic...

I've heard it twice and it was great both times. Mostly because of Mike crushing the solo at the end. But it's not the best, Love Reign O'er Me is my favorite right now.

Me too! And I was thrilled when they played it in Ottawa!

How about One of These Days? That song would really put Jeff to work.

Saw it at Greenville AND saw Ed sing it with Roger Waters at 12-12-12. I count myself as quite fortunate. My first concert was Pink Floyd at MSG on 7-4-77. I am partial to the floyd :)

They play it well. But I don't really like Eddie singing it. Same with "Mother." It's not that he does them bad or good or whatever...I just don't dig it.

To me Comfortably Numb is right in Eddie's wheelhouse. MOther not so much at times.
Comfortably Numb suites Eddie just right! He nails it. McCready nailed it in Lex. on the lead part. But something seems to be missing at the beginning when the song starts and going into the first verse. I believe with the origianal, Pink Floyd are using an orgain whereas PJ are using a guitar to fill that part?

I'm not a fan of Comfortably Numb. They do a great version, I just don't care for the song (or Pink Floyd in general) really.

I'd prefer Crazy Mary, All along The Watchtower or Fuckin' Up
