On stage last night rooting for a person to die because they are prejudiced? Good job Ed, root for the fat guy to die because you disagree with him... we don't need to be lectured about intolerance, but perhaps you do

Bristow 2010 you're on stage telling people they should commit suicide if they are lobbyists? Did it ever occur to you that people in the audience have lost loved ones to suicide? And you want to joke about it? and tell people that you differ in opinion with to go kill themselves? Real classy

Talk about intolerance... that shit is flat out inexcusable...

I'm not a fan of lobbyists... I'm not a fan.of prejudiced assholes... but im not rooting for people to die

Totally fucking disgusting, you should set a better example for your kids than that

    Controversial...

Wasn't Ed's point that eventually racism and homophobia will die out...rather than being an attack on fat people tho...

I think he mentioned (from what I read) that this guy was being a jackhole in front of his kids and he set the right example letting it slide.
I don't think there is anything wrong with hoping a certain perspective fades with people who are older as they hit the dirt-nap.

Just my opinion, there is nothing wrong with you stating yours and I take nothing away from what you feel/express here.

Hoping a different perspective fades away is fine but looking forward for someone to die because of a different view is ignorant and disappointing coming from Ed.

Openly rooting for someone to die... because they are intolerant... is pretty fucking intolerant...

I thought it was disgusting... as was Bristow 2010

Yeah Ed, you're so much better than all the rest of us intolerant americans... while you openly suggest people you disagree with should kill themselves

    Bravo

His point was a good one, but...yeah: he expressed it in a very shitty way. It didn't quite ruin the show for me, but it definitely killed the vibe for a bit.

It's not intoleranance. He's not discriminating against lobbyist. Poor taste maybe. But certainly not intolerant.

He was doing so well up until that point, too. Like someone else said: the point he was trying to make was completely valid. But the delivery straight-up sucked.

And I hope that you die
    And your death’ll come soon
    I will follow your casket
    In the pale afternoon
And I’ll watch while you’re lowered
    Down to your deathbed
And I’ll stand o’er your grave
’Til I’m sure that you’re dead

Man remember how many people got pissed when he made the gun comments a year or so back. Just relax, take his overall point, he's a rock musician not the best public speaker or a lobbyist. And when you're drinking sometimes the points come out harsher than they're meant to be.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

I'm never ("ever ever ever" - T. Swift) surprised when hate comes out of a far-left liberal's mouth. They are fueled by it.

So because Dylan wrote a song wishing death upon a figurative person sending thousands off to die in war, that should be the acceptable attitude to take? We should cheer when a rockstar stands on stage and wishes death upon people he disagrees with? No thanks

Yea and he was a *little* loaded by that point so eloquence probably eluded him.

Still, praising tolerance while being intolerant did seem a little hypocritical.

Because he referenced his daughters when speaking about this and only out of perspective, do you have a child/ren and have you ever been in a similar circumstance?

Yea not an excuse, but I think it affected his ability to make the point. And we've all been there so it's ok to forgive and forget.

This is ludicrous. A true liberal is in no way fuled by hate.

I also felt it was off the mark. (And it ruined the song.) I don't think it'll come off well on the bootleg.
