It's definitely Metallica on Monday. Nothing to see here. I'd be very surprised if we get a tour this year. There are absolutely ZERO credible rumors at this point. Unfortunate, since they could have capitalized on the RIRHOF publicity big time. Sometimes I wonder if they actually use a professional marketing firm at all.

Really though do they need the publicity? It is hard enough getting tickets as it is lol.

Totally agree. Play ten shows before Barclays so they are firing on all cylinders then play ten after. This country has been begging for an extended tour since 06! (Not that twenty shows is a lot but we are talking about one of the greatest live bands ever who refuse to play live.)

"Refuse to play live" ?
Did I miss something? According to this website they did 25 shows last year. I saw 6 of those shows. That's a lot for a band that "refuse to play live"

And I saw them four times. 25 shows last year and 11 the year before. I d hardly consider that touring. They haven't played more than 35 shows in a year since 2006.
I NEED an official announcement. Too many times these Italian rumors have been ended in nothing.
Does it mention rumored dates in there at all?
2003 - June 15 Fargo 2005 - Sept 1 George, Sept 8 Winnipeg 2006 - May 9/10 Toronto, June 26/27 St. Paul, July 22/23 George, Oct 21/22 Mountain View 2007 - Aug 2/5 Chicago 2008 - June 22 Washington, June 24/25 New York 2009 - Aug 21 Toronto, Aug 23/24 Chicago, Sept 21/22 Seattle, Oct 27/28/30/31 Philadelphia 2010 - May 15 Hartford, May 17 Boston, Oct 23/24 Mountain View 2011 - Sept 3/4 Alpine Valley, Sept 11/12 Toronto, Sept 17 Winnipeg, Sept 19 Saskatoon 2012 - Sept 30 Missoula 2013 - July 16 London, July 19 Chicago, Oct 12 Buffalo, Dec 2 Calgary, Dec 4 Vancouver, Dec 6 Seattle 2014 - Oct 16 Detroit, Oct 19 St. Paul, Oct 20 Milwaukee 2015 - Sept 23 (Colbert)/Sept 26, New York 2016 - Apr 28/29 Philadelphia, May 10/12 Toronto, Aug 20/22 Chicago
If it happens I will be there, although it's quite a drive down to Taormina
PJ 1992 Pinkpop, Go Bang Festival Berlin 2000 Rock am Ring 2006 Berlin 2007 Hurricane Festival Scheeßel 2009 Berlin 2010 Berlin 2012 Berlin 1+2 2014 Milano, Trieste, Berlin 2018 Milano, Padova, Roma, Krakow, Berlin EV 2017 Berlin, Firenze, Taormina 1+2 2019 Firenze, Berlin
Obviously they don't refuse to play live, but compared to other Arena/Stadium sized rock bands, PJ tours are pretty small and not very widespread. Even when they were doing 70 shows every 3 years, that was still pretty light compared to other bands. Other than the first few years, they've never exactly been a band thats heavy into touring.
It's understandable. The longest I like to be away from home is about 3 weeks, and then i'm jonesing to be back home. I can't imagine being on the road for month and months and months on end. Maybe it's why PJ has longevity it does. They've figured out how much they like to tour without all turning on each other

they would tour more if they needed the money. that's all i'm saying about that.
That was very gump like. Lol
just be a realist is all i know...reality sucks. if the band members had multiple ex wives or a cocaine habit like john entwistle had then we would see them tour a lot more. just saying...

I have it on good authority that Pearl Jam will not tour until the Pearl Jam Stat Tracker app is updated. Eddie's pissed. Someone needs to get on that...

It is updated through 2016
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night.
