I'm literally getting choked up just thinking about last night again. I hope last night reminded everyone about the power of those 11 songs. Holy shit. Best night of my life.0

Fortunate to be there for Ft Lauderdale and Miami but been amazing to follow the subsequent gigs from afar. These guys are absolutely relentless. They turn up every single night and kill it, then turn it up a notch the next day. We should all feel pretty privileged to be on the journey.TenVsRhys

God damn, I'm still trying to wrap my brain around last night.
The second I heard the intro music, I thought "why are they opening w/ Once two nights in a row?" I was holding my breath for the opening notes of Evenflow, when I got them I lost my mind.
Not only that, tonight was a first for me hearing Deep, Garden, All or None, Throw your Hatred Down, Comfortably Numb, and one of my all time favorites, mother f'ing Who You Are. (Been chasing that song for 18 years)
6 songs I never heard before, for my 16th show. The night before, I heard 5 new songs. 11 total in this two night set, f'ing unbelievable. It's amazing how this band can continually impress after so many years.
Unbelievable first two shows of the year for me, now I wait until Fenway.
All you MSG folks thinking they'll be topping this Philly stop...... Good luck with that!0 -

Great show. Has anyone else been to four of these album shows? I was in Moline, Milwaukee, Greenville and now this one. If you had asked me before what album I'd want to hear least, I probably would have said Ten, just because you hear the songs so much. But this was the best of the four, no competition. As someone else said, there's something different about hearing the songs in order, especially with a crowd that's so into it. The whole building sang every song. This was my 17th or 18th show, but the first one in the northeast. Philadelphia rocks! This is the last show for me this year (maybe - I might try to talk my husband into going to Fenway), so if there are any more of these, my streak is broken. But it was the best experience to end on. And side note - This is my first time in Philly, and I love this city. Beautiful architecture, great museums, great food. Even the uber drivers are awesome. When Pearl Jam comes back, we'll be there.
TEN IS A MASTERPIECE. That's a fact.0 -
What can be said.. 10 is one the of the main reasons why I fell in love with music. The defining album of my youth and they opened the show with it. I was stunned. The crowd was exceptional, my first proper show in Philly and they did not disappoint. It will be a long time before this smile leaves my face.Pittsburgh 1998 • Pittsburgh 2006 • 2012 Isle Of Wight Festival • 2012 Made In America Festival • Baltimore 2013 • Seattle 2013

Something to be said for hearing the album that the whole world fell in love with and propelled this band to make it 25+ years! And we still going! Strong! Last night was inspired, passionate, intense, hard-fought, magical, heaven, and an out-of-body experience. Having been to nearly 50 shows(last night was 50 if I count eddie shows), Philly 2 has made my top 5. And Release was the single best/meaningful performance of the night. I can't stop thinking about Release! Release the boot now!0

Absolute privilege to be in attendance last night. Crowd was great! No one understands why we all go so much - it's for nights like this!0

What a night. GA was jumping. The whole place was jumping. I saw every person in that building in front and back of the stage, all the way up to the rafters as one big Jamily. Not one sitting person in the whole house. Too many highlights to list. Thank you Pearl Jam0

The banner specifically said "South Philly" sellouts to only really encompass Spectrum ('03, '09 x 4) and Wells Fargo ('05, '13 x 2, '16 x 2). Leaves out Dobbs and Camden ('98 x 2, '00 x 2, '03 x 2, '08 x 2).merlin401 said:Going to leave my review next, but a quick question: How does Pearl Jam only have 10 Philly sell-outs? It seems like the have played there many, many more times than that (I mean I've even driven down there 5x for shows from up in North Jersey)

it sure felt like PJ25 last night...
that was the best 2 show run I've ever seen and its not even close0 -
We waited outside in the cold Philadelphia rain all night and day to get rail and were rewarded magnificently. This show...it was just beyond words. The crowd was so into it and the band could feel our love. I was right between Ed & Stone and at the end of the show, while Mike was absolutely killing YLB into SSB, I watched Ed go over to stone who was standing by the speakers, and just lay his head against Stone's back and rest there for a moment and Stone reached back to hold Ed's arm in this sort of embrace and they stayed like that for a minute or more and you could sense the intensity of their relationship and knew they too realized they just blew the fuckin roof off of Wells Fargo and accomplished something epic.
Thank you Pearl Jam, thank you 10c and thank you beautiful people who shared and cared and laughed and sang and rocked these past two days and nights with me.
Fuckin bring on MSG!
I want moooorrreeeee. .......0 -
don't feel bad for me the gods smiled on me as I got to witness both shows. mind blown drop the mic. holy shit!nicknyr15 said:

So some thoughts about last nights amazing show...
* Only moment of fleeting disappointment was the shows first moments... "Why are they opening with Once again?"
* Well then it became obvious why. I didn't let myself believe until I heard Alive. Then I was like "damn its ON tonight". There's nothing to compare to playing Ten straight through. It got everyone from the hardcore fan to the casual fan super amped up and the place was LOUD!
* It was so unusual hearing Alive and Porch mixed into the early portions of the show, very surreal. And they were the same as the encore/set closer versions: Eddie even shone the guitar light throughout the entire crowd on Porch as he is prone to do, but we were only a few songs into the night!!
* The best of Ten was Release though, by a million miles. Incredibly emotional version! Least favorite of the 11: honestly I think they played Deep a lot better in 2009 Philly (my only other time hearing it).
* I did get that twinge of "is it possible they play Binaural??" when I heard Breakerfall. It would have looked amazing on paper but it would have killed the energy of the crowd honestly: how many people there even could name all the songs from Binaural? 25%? Thats why Ten straight through is so powerful IMO.
* Who you Are sounds really amazing live: Mike Cameron is so great at establishing that moody rhythm on this song (its very atmospheric like the start of There, There by Radiohead or something)
ENCORE BREAK
* Eddie mumbling a Willie Nelson styled Just Breathe was pretty hilarious. Also his Bruce Springsteen impression mocking Pearl Jam's comparatively modest 10 sellouts earlier was really funny.
* All or None sounds AMAZING live!! Besides Release I thought this was the 2nd best performance of the night. What a great song. That into Comfortably Numb was a surreal part of the show.
* Mind Your Manners is meh to me: in fact I don't feel like the new album plays that great in concert. The songs aren't distinctive enough to grab your attention, and it was played last night.
* Eddie really teased us muttering "It's ok" a few times before doing the WMA tag ::grrrrr:: lol. Still awesome, and hell, I'm glad they keep "its ok" fairly sacred.
* RVM another repeat from last night. How can you ever get tired of this song though?
ENCORE BREAK
* Last Kiss gets shit on but you know, you need a simple song to be able to play to the back, so it serves its purpose. I clap along happily
* My regret of this concert is that Eddie sang the first vs. of Better Man... I wonder how this amped up crowd would have done holding the reigns (a la MSG II 2010)
* It was kind of a weird place for Throw Your Hatred Down, but I enjoyed hearing this song for the first time.
* Sonic/Baba/YL is such a classic way to end (although I LOVE Fuckin' Up even more, which is hard to do but that was last night).
Overall: A+
It will certainly be hard to put together my top 5 concerts now, that's all I gotta say. See y'all at Fenway
