How did you manage hearing protection for the little guy? Asking because I plan on taking my little guy (18 months old now) to a few folk festivals this year and last year was a nightmare trying to keep his hearing protection on.

Honestly I can't take any credit, he's a good kid and he didn't mess with them. We had plugs in him and muffs over and he only pulled them off once... We got him used to them by putting them on, cranking the stereo and dancing in front of the mirror.

Haha, good stuff. Our little guy loves wearing hats, which is nice, but isn't tolerant of ear protection.

It is surprising that this is still a thing. I have 2 girls over 20 that I breastfed. 1) Babies do not always tolerate towels or blankets on their heads when they are eating and will keep pulling it off. (How would you like to have to put a blanket over your head while eating dinner?) and 2) The baby's head covers pretty much everything and the clothes cover the rest. You really can't see much, if anything, and 3) there are plenty of outfits made for breastfeeding that help everyone not let it all hang out so to speak. Hopefully as it becomes a common thing, it will be less upsetting to some folks....it really isn't that big a deal - babies need to eat and a quiet baby means everyone in the room is happier.
