Let's see, Boobies good. Baby not crying good. Win win.

And How is anything as natural as breast feeding a problem.

Now think after watching neandrathals eating in restaurants they should cover their heads with a towel so I don't have to see or hear that.

Let's see, Godfather wants a Trump presidency and he wants women to cover themselves when they feed their children...
So it's ok that the first lady shows her breasts for the sexual excitement of men, but all the mothers better cover up...
Doesn't make much sense to me!

    Love this.

And yeah, it's not a sexual thing, it's a natural thing.

I don't have children but the act of breastfeeding, while a necessity, also strikes me as quite intimate...I think I'd want some privacy.

It is quite intimate at times, at night and in the morning it is quite a wonderful thing, but you do it several times a day without fail for months on end and it also becomes a perfunctory action that you don't even think about. It is exactly that regularity that leads women to breastfeed in the open.
Think about how many conversations a breastfeeding mother has to miss or halt if she steps away for 20 minutes of privacy every few hours. Think about how many times meals and errands need to be put on pause for nursing if you step away each time. Hundreds. Are you going to spend half your life outside of the house in a public bathroom or are you gonna nurse as discretely as possible where ever you are?
These are totally unnecessary sacrifices when a person has a 100% effective means of avoiding the sight...just look the other way, that's not so hard.

My wife prefers privacy, and Simon get's distracted easily, but there are times when you just gotta find a bench and get that child on the tit before he freaks out!

He's looking at me right now and pooping :(

if you want the whole area you happen to be in see the wifes boob it's not a problem for me, I just thought that would be a little more personal for most.
also it doesn't seem worth the risk to attract some nut job's attention while the wife has a boob flopped out for the world to see, I wonder how you'd feel if your daughter was breast feeding openly in public (if you have a daughter) ?

"first lady" shows her breasts for the sexual excitement ?????? I think I'm going to puke.

Brest, France seems like a nice place. I have no particular opinion on feeding the city in public....seems like a strange thing to try and do...but whatever floats your boat.

Regarding my daughter, I have a son and no plans for more, but it wouldn't bother me at all. Have you ever been around a breastfeeding mother in your life? It's not like the boon is just flopping around for everyone to see, you would actually have to stare in order to see any more than the average tart shows with her cleavage.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA MAN ! rgambs, "Was that disgustingly sexist, racist, or both?" ...neither.
I have been around a breast feed mother quite a few times but all the women my family used a baby blanket to cover themselves up with, call us old fashioned. this reminds me of a post on Facebook, it was picture of a young gal going to her prom in dress that was pretty reviling and caption read "would you let your daughter wear this to the prom ?" well I thought if her mom had no problem showing skin why would the daughter ?
it's just the way we (my family) was raised, but I guess things are changing.

So some are opposed to breastfeeding in public, but have no problem with images of death and war on the evening news...I'll take breastfeeding in public, besides anytime I've seen breastfeeding in public...you don't see anything, it's not as if the woman is sitting topless feeding her child...hehehe.

So I assume that all the men in your family cover up too, right? T-shirts at the beach, in the pool, and on hot days, correct? Since you were all raised not to "show skin"?

It's the name of a city in France. I don't know why everyone is so concerned with boobs, when the OP clearly wanted to talk about the city. Why are we so off topic? This thread should be closed.

I have NO idea what Brestfeeding is.

    People need to got over
    a) fear of boobies
    b) obsession with boobies
    c) being weird about babies eating the natural way

looks like the results are either yes or at least cover up which means mostly agreeable.

we can't change the past, but yes to the future. just saying, as a child I did not understood why boys could run around with their shirt off but I could not. because of the social interpretation of the male body vs. a female body.

it's possible that women covered in the old days to protect from any germs, or to focus on just that and nothing else, who knows.

as we break down barriers it might go to a woman completely removing her shirt to breastfeed, it might not.
