I don't really think he will run, but in this election cycle I don't think anything will shock me. There are members of the republican party that might actually prefer HRC to Trump, including the Speaker and Senate Majority leader. Think about that! Almost nothing is off limits, haha.

He is not running. Appears he has been picked to take down Trump. I imagine the strategy is to use past elected GOP members to take him down.

Agreed that is what they are doing...but...using past elected GOP members seems counterproductive in an election cycle where Trump's supporters have completely shunned the Establishment.

    My God...that's Bob Dole's music!

It's cute that people think that Romney and Trump are successful on their own merits

I mean, if we are looking at where people started their life, Hillary has been wildly more successful than either of them.

so was Joe Bannanos sr. ......just say'n

Interesting piece on how Romney Is Totally Wrong About Donald Trump:
Put simply, Trump is the distillation of conservative Republican politics for all of the 21st century. He's not the cause of a GOP implosion, but the final effect of an intellectual and political hollowing-out of any semblance of commitment to limited government, individual rights, and free markets. He is what happens when you fail to live up to your rhetoric and aspirations again and again.
I left the GOP decades ago because of the religious nuts who started the anti-intellectual movement in the party. Anyway, this is a pretty good, albeit long piece on the state of the party. They got what they sowed.

  • Whenever I see Mitt Romney on Tv I think of a Travolta robot.
I swear (yes I said it) that there is a mill that pumps these guys out.
He looks so fake, kim Kardashian looks more real.
He is creepy and disturbing like the Burger King guy.

They aren't shunning the establishment. Their base has become dumber and dumber, less informed by the day. They prefer 'entertainment' over reason and discourse.

    They are shunning.
More and more people are fed up with the other repubs, past and present.
    Trump is not the establishment.
