It's all about the music. If you are at a PJ show, seated or not, (I've done both) it feels like a rock and roll concert. The only difference is that with seats (which are never used, more a a designated standing location, except in boston III where the band requested the audience to sit) you don't have to spend all of your energy holding on or fighting the surge, you can spend you energy rocking out and "watching" the great performance. I've never heard of anyone haveing a bad experience in the front of seated shows, and I have heard several in this thread complaining of their experience of GA....

GA seating then? Gives you the chance to get up front too!

Why did the band ask for people to be seated in Boston III?

    BTW - Hi Casey!!!!

Have you not heard the boot?? I must hook you up..

They played an acoustic pre-set before Slater Kinney came on (they promised to play their entire catalog during the 3 boston shows, so in order to do it, they needed more time...). They asked the audience to sit because it was acoustic and "we haven't played for a seated crowd in a long long time, it might be kinda cool"

you know that in Athens you could get to the seats with your 10c right?
several did it (Wash_ 'cos she was sick, another couple of friends who didin't fancy the crowd)

It wasn't true everywhere but in Athens seats and GA were the same price (and it was free seating, not assigned like most places) so they didn't care.

DAMN!!! I didn't know that!!! I saw some 10c people sitting but didn't know that anyone could sit anywhere. F#*K

And a second pit is not just for comfort, it's for safety.

I agree a separate pit is for safety reasons, not comfort.

As well as not being too fair for people who have queued up since early in the day to have to leave being pushed away by some who come in late barging their way through.
