the French are so blase about stuff... probably to busy organising a strike to actually attend the gig
Dublin sold out in minutes, and the UK only had 2 festival appearances... the UK is the biggest fanbase (fan club members wise) outside of North America... so it would seem 'right' if they came back next year to give something back to the 'fans'... its been 6 years since they last came here and the 2 festival shows dont count... they just dont
So very well said, we deserve it goddamn.

i would like to think that the band were blown away by the welcome they got at every european concert. that in itself should prompt a quick return to our shores.

It would be easier for him to do that as it will sort so many peoples presents out at once, less chimneys to navigate.Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,

I am not getting my hopes up though.
I'm with you on that 1, short trip into town on the trian, 1 or 2 drinks before and after round the printworks, then Littleborough taxi to bring me home, what a good night out.0 -

Always a man of few words :P
I'd love it if they played the UK some more, as much as Ireland gigs would be great, I'd love to go rambling around for a week or two!0 -
Seriously, if you Britons love the band so much, the United States would be willing to trade them for say, one of your bands.
Well, since Pearl Jam are household names in many, many countries, we're going to want a 2-for-1 offer:
So, give us The Fall and The Bitter Springs and you can have Pearl Jam. That sounds about fair.
Also, you have to take back that horrible English woman that's on TBS network's 'Midnite Money Madness' and from 'Grab a Grand'. Either she's really good at acting dumb, or she's one of the most vapid creatures drawing breath. Take her away.
I'm seriously frightened she's going to run for governer some day down the line and blowing Ted Turner will probably secure her a win. Seriously, this country's going to hell in a handbasket.0 -

Done...:D Welcome to the UK, Pearl Jam...

WhoWhat the hell... whoever she is, I'm sure she's on US TV because the UK didn't want her anymore. We'll take her back.. she'll just be sent to another country..

thing is astoria was a promotional gig
leeds/reading was festivals...no 10c tics etc...
nordic countries bypassed also..
i think mike said in an interview that they would either go into studio again early 07 or tour more
i hope for both.....
i hope for both too as i have now moved back to the UK but why was there a 6 year delay? ive been listening to riot act and binaural alot recently and i am beginning to think they simply didn't think the albums were strong enough(publicity wise) to warant a FULL european tour maybe PJ as yield was a more friendly and accessible album to play to european audiences...... why is it that both of the albums have been almost ignored on this tour? and it has been an almost greatest hits tour(with a few exceptions)?? i wish theyd play the uk i know i am being a devils advocate a little ...buttt after 6 years those 4 gigs are not bad goin, + italy ...etc i'm not complaining more greatfull to see them at allthe leaders of the free world are just little boys throwing stones

Yay!! Welcome Pearl Jam
Placebo would do okay in the US I think. How about MUSE? I like them, but I'd settle for the occasional DVD now and again.
Can we trade ancient stuff as well? I'll let you have the Beatles as well. I think Sir Paul would enjoy the sunshine in a retirement home in Florida.
I wonder how PJ would feel in the UK though... Where's the best surf? And the best skatepark?Like a cloud dropping rain
I'm discarding all thought
I'll dry up, leaving puddles on the ground

Send them Placebo... Muse... I still need to see them live, so no trade yet!
Sir Paul... yeah... ship him off to Florida.
PJ would LOVE the UK - surfing in Cornwall, skatepark very close to where I live, which is close to Twickenham Stadium so they could easily throw in a little gig or two between skating..... They'll be fine here! They'll just have to go on holiday in warmer countries like we all do!:D:D:D0 -
