Seriously, if you Britons love the band so much, the United States would be willing to trade them for say, one of your bands.
Well, since Pearl Jam are household names in many, many countries, we're going to want a 2-for-1 offer:
So, give us The Fall and The Bitter Springs and you can have Pearl Jam. That sounds about fair.
Also, you have to take back that horrible English woman that's on TBS network's 'Midnite Money Madness' and from 'Grab a Grand'. Either she's really good at acting dumb, or she's one of the most vapid creatures drawing breath. Take her away.
I'm seriously frightened she's going to run for governer some day down the line and blowing Ted Turner will probably secure her a win. Seriously, this country's going to hell in a handbasket.

Who What the hell... whoever she is, I'm sure she's on US TV because the UK didn't want her anymore. We'll take her back.. she'll just be sent to another country..
thing is astoria was a promotional gig
leeds/reading was festivals...no 10c tics etc...
nordic countries bypassed also..
i think mike said in an interview that they would either go into studio again early 07 or tour more
i hope for both.....
i hope for both too as i have now moved back to the UK but why was there a 6 year delay? ive been listening to riot act and binaural alot recently and i am beginning to think they simply didn't think the albums were strong enough(publicity wise) to warant a FULL european tour maybe PJ as yield was a more friendly and accessible album to play to european audiences...... why is it that both of the albums have been almost ignored on this tour? and it has been an almost greatest hits tour(with a few exceptions)?? i wish theyd play the uk i know i am being a devils advocate a little ...buttt after 6 years those 4 gigs are not bad goin, + italy ...etc i'm not complaining more greatfull to see them at all
the leaders of the free world are just little boys throwing stones

Placebo would do okay in the US I think. How about MUSE? I like them, but I'd settle for the occasional DVD now and again.
Can we trade ancient stuff as well? I'll let you have the Beatles as well. I think Sir Paul would enjoy the sunshine in a retirement home in Florida.
I wonder how PJ would feel in the UK though... Where's the best surf? And the best skatepark?
Send them Placebo... Muse... I still need to see them live, so no trade yet!
Sir Paul... yeah... ship him off to Florida.
PJ would LOVE the UK - surfing in Cornwall, skatepark very close to where I live, which is close to Twickenham Stadium so they could easily throw in a little gig or two between skating..... They'll be fine here! They'll just have to go on holiday in warmer countries like we all do!:D:D:D

Excellent! See, I live in Slough and that's just depressing
Like a cloud dropping rain
I'm discarding all thought
I'll dry up, leaving puddles on the ground
I'm like an opening band for the sun
wow, just thinking about slough makes me feel depressed!
I've never even been to slough but the name isn't very enticing . Makes me thing 'sow'

Why in fucks name would you send Placebo to the US? Are you trying to make them hate us? 3 days ago i was unfortunate enough to witness about 40 seconds of one of their music videos on tv, and my ears are still bleeding...

because this one guy wants to trade UK bands for Pearl Jam. Placebo's a good one to throw in! We'd get rid of them and I'm sure they would love them!

Well, since I'm moving to London for a year in january, just in time for a UK tour, I'll be glad to get a UK touring van together... you guys just have to teach me to drive on the other side of the road...
Jason
YEAH! ok, now it's 2 Euro-PJ travellers with Conguita, who else is joining us?
I think we'll need more than a van...maybe a train
I'll move to london. Was going to anyway, but got scared. And its pricey. But im easily persuaded .
It'd take a lot to persuade me to move to London.....most times I've been there, I couldn't wait to leave again.
I think it suits some people more than others, I've lived in numerous cities of the last few years but I just don't think London is for me.
A democracy on paper, apparently well ordered, regularly subverted by irrational chaos.

Anyone think one acoustic, one electric night at Royal Albert Hall would be absolutely incredible?
now that would be cool...except I believe the RAH is seating only...that means crap seats for me on my number....but at least it's not too far, I can cycle there in about 20mn

Always a man of few words :P
I'd love it if they played the UK some more, as much as Ireland gigs would be great, I'd love to go rambling around for a week or two!

There's a reason John Betjemin wrote that poem... He forgot to mention the permeating smell of Mars bars though...
Yes, I have been to some Pearl Jam concerts. Several of them.

Mars... Twix... Snickers... Maltezers...
I am convinced I can sniff out the bar they are making on any particular day. But maybe that's the hormones talking.
I can even see the Mars factory from my living room window! Now there's a view
