Wasn't it his stolen base that ultimately led them to get past the yanks to go on to win it all that first year? I'm a big Roberts homer, went to high school with him and he is and was a very humble and good guy.

    Its easy to get distracted by alot of members of that 2004 team... Papi, Manny, Pedro, Schilling, Johnny Damon.
    That was a pretty effing clutch jump Dave got right there though. He had to have hit the ground thinking this could be really good or REALLY bad.

    Jeter should have been at least a little out in front of that bag

    I have been in the same mindset. Part of me really wants to wait until the day of, just in case there are last min ticket drops, and if not, get tickets of stubhub that someone has to unload or price drop at the last minute.

    And while that sounds great, I'm not sure I want to leave my tickets up to chance.

    This show is getting close, I'm starting to get excited.

    Is there a reason why they play Friday and Sunday and not Saturday? There doesn't seem to be anything going on at Fenway that day.

    And is there any chance they do play some kind of surprise show that Saturday? Trying to decide if it's worth sticking around Boston between the shows.
