I know it's silly to listen/believe a forecast that is more than two weeks out, but jeez, I would feel a tiny bit better if they weren't calling for steady rain in Boston on Friday and Sunday night

I'm assuming it's the same as everywhere. Show goes on unless lightening shows up
They will not cancel unless there is lightning. I mean, what are the odds of that (I was at Wrigley '13) happening again. ..........damn.

Staying in Waltham and hoping to catch the T Train in and out of the city at Riverside station (Newton)... it looks like the T train runs past 1am in all directions on the weekends and should have no issue catching the train back Friday and Saturday night after the HOB

Are we good?
Yeah, you should be good. Saturday should not be a problem since there is no Sox game. After the Friday show there might be more people, so give yourself a little extra time.

thats also my plan...into logan Sunday early afternoon...out to that Newton hotel a short walk from the Riverside stop, check in, and back to Kenmore. I love the D line. a third of the price is nice.

do you have experience taking the train from that station into the fenway area? seems like its about a 25 minute straight shot to Kenmore station... I was looking at that hotel but we are driving up so took something 5 minutes up the road from that T stop...
apparently the parking can fill up at the riverside station... any locals confirm that? it looks like there is another station 5 minutes up the road with parking?
any and all help is greatly appreciated...
also may be looking to head to any of the following outside of the city... Plymouth... Salem... Walden Pond... Concord & Lexington.... any advice? any preferences?
how about great food outside of the city, especially seafood?
Anyone recently book a hotel for a reasonable price? As a Canadian, having to pay about 1.3 times the price, I am astounded by the going rates! Went to Boston in 2008 and pricelined the Back Bay Hilton for like $80/night. Same hotel is now like $450 per!

If you're flying in and aren't getting a rental car, Boston hotels are SUPER pricy. I canceled my initial reservation inside Boston proper, (the park plaza), that was over 300 for just Sunday night, I'm out at the end of the D line in Newton, but still a straight shot to Kenmore, and it's still 185. Thats 250 CAD, no? Off the train line, hotels out on 128/95 or further out like in Framingham or Concord can still be 125 or higher a night.
Friday night's forecast has actually improved since earlier this week. Now just calling for a pop up T-storm. Sunday still looks a little hairy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed

There is a little neighborhood just across the highway bridge from Riverside. You can park on the streets in there, just don't block driveways.
