I'll take one more swing at this. Probably to late for Fenway, but for Wrigley, I think this would work. 1 day 10c members only online pop up shop. One day in the next week or so, post the show merch, 10clubbers buy what they want. One order per member, 1 of each poster limit. Print out out and take it to Wrigley. They take one of the 3 merch trucks and dedicate for the online pop up pick up. Stock it with the orders inventory, no other transactions. They check your order against your photo id, pull said order and you go about your way. Could this work?
Try this again.
that would be great
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
This would be awesome. I would love a poster, but no way I'm standing in line in the sun/rain for hours. Would also be nice if I could go back and order the posters to past shows I've been to, but never could get through the merch line.
Based upon how the North Carolina cancellation was handled at the last minute, when fans were already en route, I think the band has abundantly shown that they have little concern for fan convenience. The poster pre-order is a great idea, but expect nothing from the band other than numerous attempts to sell even more things to us, and extremely phenomenal live performances (can't take that from them.)

From the comments about the merch lines in Boston, it seems they have enough to go around and the lines were quick. Maybe it's not needed? Trying to stay positive...

If the direction for merch never does go the way of pre orders and on line access to ticketholders, then I think they should consider limiting purchase quantities....1 set of poster (s) per person. A quick tour thru ebay shows a litany of Fenway merch posted at extreme mark up...A set of the six posters selling for $1000 !!?? Is this truly what the band envisions with their merch strategy ? I applaud the creative options available to fans for these "ballpark" gigs but the lack of control leads to such rampant flipping that it makes the process absurd. Cheers from the Motor City !
Wrigley demand will be higher than Fenway w more flippers
Interesting. I would think Fenway would have higher demand given that it's not the 2nd time around like Wrigley and its on the east coast - shorter flight for our friends from Europe. Either way, I think we all still expect demand to be high.
Who knows, I'm just thinking that so many got shut out last time, Wrigley's history/mythos (not to say Fenway doesn't have history/mythos), Chicago being Ed's hometown, and more central to get to from most of the U.S. Regardless, demand is insane across the board and fans attending the shows are unfortunately impacted.

Newsletter has come and gone. Pre-Order dream doesn't die until the 1st show begins. All the labor cost of having teams man merch booths for 5 days could go to rolling poster and packing Wrigley merch orders
