Who knows anything about the Fairmont Copley Plaza. My work travel site had rooms for $155 a night, every where else on that system and others sites were $250+

You probably could not ask for a better deal \ location. Nice job!

I'm probably going to try to kick my sister out of her apartment near BC for a night.

Booked 3 nights at The Buckminster which looks decent from the pics. Booked because it appears to be 2 minutes from Wrigley. Any locals known anything about it?

You mean Fenway I assume, not Wrigley.

Buckminster is the closest you'll get.

I stayed there for frozen fenway once cause we didn't want to drive home after. No complaints at all. Place was great and even upgraded us at no charge to a Suite because they had no standard rooms left.

Glad I booked when I did , prices have gone up since considerably since I locked in a rate . Strike while the iron is hot. Decided to fly into Logan instead of the train, its cheaper and way less travel time . Trains are more expensive than I thought.

Just booked two nights at the buckminster. The 5th and 7th. I live about 75 min away so I'll go home on Saturday. I might actually only stay one night.. And drive the other. My wife and I are hoping for 10c tickets to one night, and whichever night that is, we'll stay in town. The other night I'll most likely go with a buddy and just drive home. I'm super excited! I never stay over after shows. I used to live in Boston and have several friends I could stay with, but we have two kids and need a night away... Can't wait!

All depends. You are about two miles from Fenway at this hotel. For Wrigley we were more than twice distance from the venue.

That's the hotel. It's defiantly not in the middle of the action but the shuttle is pretty good. We've stayed there before and liked it. But I have four kids so I need the space. If you're going solo or with a significant other I'm sure there are plenty of closer places. I also am a Hilton gold level member so I get one night free and free breakfast. All that stuff adds up when you're a family of 6 and makes it worth the little extra distance.

On Kayak.com just now the Midtown Hotel (220 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA) popped up for $161 a night. Less than a mile from Fenway. Among the cheapest "close" hotels I've seen for anyone looking.

I would have booked closer to fenway but hotels are freaking expensive in boston! Plus some hotels charge $51 to park!

YES! This is important to check for people coming into town. Be sure you are paying attention to the parking rates. They can be exorbitant.

Doesnt look like any street parking nearby

If you are willing to walk about ten minutes, there is on street parking all throughout the area. The double tree is very close to the Allston/Brighton area, and you can park there.

I would have booked closer to fenway but hotels are freaking expensive in boston! Plus some hotels charge $51 to park!

YES! This is important to check for people coming into town. Be sure you are paying attention to the parking rates. They can be exorbitant.
    Doubletree is $35 per night

Yeah I was going to say all of the streets off commonwealth ave in Allston Brighton are easy to park at. You can prob pay $20-$30 at Fenway to park right around the ballpark too.

I wouldn't pay any of the insane hotel rates but that's me. I'll end up staying in revere or get a Kelly's roast beef sandwich on the north shore or something but I've already lived in Boston for many years, no need to do any sight seeing for me.

If you're going for the city too then by all means class it up there's some nice places to stay. Copley Square, doubletree, even Cambridge has nice options...
