Well the same rumours are going around here in Belgium for Rock Werchter 2007...lets hope so that they are coming over again...gonna go to both then for both festivals it's only a half hour drive for me so that would be great...

Where did you see/hear the rumors for Werchter??
The less you know, the more you believe.

Yeah, I also heard about this. Someone from Belgium told me there were rumors about it few months ago... :D Lets hope these rumors come true ;)

  • Hmmm.....isn't the end of May around the time that they have the Download festival in the UK?

If they're going to do festivals again, I'll be hoping for an appearance at the inaugural Fflam festival in Wales. It's being billed as Wales answer to T in the Park though no acts have been announced as yet.

I'd rather they don't do a festival in the UK.. those sell out way too fast for everyone to get a chance at tickets...and they might stop them doing real shows... not even mentioning the price!!
  • ok, all just rumours, and hoping for the best,
but how about making it intresting and start guessing and hoping for this...

    PJ on Pinkpop, Werchter, ...

and maybe Audioslave touring with the "new" album

meaning Audioslave and PJ on the same festival
    maybe on the same day
    .....

you can all figure out what 1+1 = right ;D

when Audioslave was supposed to do Leeds/Reading, there was speculations that CC might join them in Reading on the Sunday (as Audioslave wasn't plying that day)..and by the same token EV might have joined Audioslave in Leeds on the Saturday....we'll never know if that might have happened..

Oh yeah, don;t get me wrong...I;d much rather see them at their own shows than a festival. The main reason we decided to go to Dublin was because we didn;t want to see them at either Reading or Leeds.

festivals are a completely different kind of event in the Uk now.....people just go regardless of who is playing. Only a few years ago you could get a tciket for any UK festival a week beforehand....now they're gone in a few hours.

I think part of it is that the headlining acts have gradually got bigger and bigger. 10 years ago, festival headliners would be the likes of bands who would be playing venues like Brixton Academy on their own tours....now the headliners for the most part can play their own stadium shows.

Thats the same thing here with the festivals most of the people just go for the fun and drinking and thats a shame i think because they can be verry anoing then....

if that happens, we'll need to help each other across borders...buying tickets for concerts overseas is not that easy but Festival ones is downright a pain and we get no help from 10c.
  • Well I wishing for a complete European tour including two show in Holland, Pinkpop and Ahoy'.
  • pinkpop still under clear channel control?

The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever. Because this is just a ride." And we...kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok? But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

Never seen pearl jam at a festival, so it should be fun. If it happens, we will team up and hopefully go all the way! that Barcelona concert left me wanting more... Alot more!

  • Maybe the UK will have indoor shows as we had festivals last time.

I think both the last two European tours have been a mixture of festivals and headline dates.

Apparently Bruce Springsteen is definitely not headlining Glastonbury now so there's that spot open again.

The festival organisers have said that some of thr rumours have come close but none have guess the line up quite correctly just yet

    no Boss?..good!
I want to do Glasto this year regardless..but I don't care for Springsteen (don't hate it or anything, just does nothing for me), so happy he's not there...would be happy if the Kylie rumour was wrong too mind you!
The Who, the Killers and Razorlight rumours on the other hand ...
