I use airbnb whenever I travel anywhere these days. Cheaper than hotels, fully self catering so you don't need to eat out all the time and generally an entire apartment rather than a room.

Hopefully everyone here has had good Airbnb experiences. I had a place in Chicago booked last year for a show and the owner cancelled the reservation with zero warning or explanation a week before my arrival. Never again.

so this is basically Uber of home rentals....I'm a little more sketchy of renting someone's living space I may have to look into this more but it seems like a good concept

I think this is gross. it's a sponsorship deal. never thought I'd see the day that pearl jam, of all bands, would do this. disappointing.

I take it all back if the band says they are not getting cpa/affiliate revenue out of this. I really hope I'm wrong...

Nothing wrong with this. It's great that Pearl Jam recognizes that it's travel-prone fans are looking for affordable accomdations, and offering a solution. Sponsorship deal or no, I like this offer.
Besides, Pearl Jam has reserved hotels for travel packages before. I realize this is different, but that's the cool part... it's a cheaper alternative.

I think they should be upfront about it being a sponsorship deal, especially given the band's prior point of view on these issues. oh and of course it's only valid for new airbnb users, because they wouldn't get paid for referring existing airbnb users. do you know that air bnb will pay partners $50 per new user referred?

what i know is pj fans and 10c members get cheaper deal for accomontation and 10c made it happen..
