That's the only one I heard on KROQ in LA constantly. I guess they had more hits in their native land down under?

I thought "Roll On" and "Who's Gonna Save Us" were pretty popular in the states.

I loved and still love Fade Into You. As a teenage girl in the 90's, that song was about every boy I liked. Loved Mike Doughty too, saw him a few times, even into the 2000's.

I don't know if this band is semi-obscure in America or not.  they are kindof know for maybe 1 record but PULP was amazing.

  • I thought they were pretty well known?  I loved Morphine -- first few albums were so good!
The love he receives is the love that is saved
  • I guess if some of these other ones are semi obscure perhaps Jon Spencer Blues Explosion was.  Still love them.

  • Dovetail Joint
Loved these guys! You listen to Ivorywire?
I've never heard of Ivorywire- pretty good? I'd honestly mostly forgotten Dovetail Joint too until Level On the Inside came up last week on a really old playlist. It definitely did make me want to listen to that whole album again.
They are the lead singer & guitarist from Dovetail and some new guys. They have one record and its pretty good!!

"Dragline" is a damn good album. The sound was tight and just rocked for coming out when it did. That's to bad it got overlooked. Some great jams on there. "Death to Traitors" has some good ones as well....

I've been getting into Andy Bell's work recently after listening to the new Ride album, his band Hurricane #1 in the late 90's had some good songs -

Yes! I've never met anyone that has heard of this band since about 1994! Saw them at Reading festival in UK and the Joiners in Southampton UK too.

they were?  i didn't think they were that big in PA (least in the philly area) since they were from Canada and all.  Only station that i kinda remembered playing them was y100 and that wasn't too much.  Maybe live they had a following in PA?

I used to really like Mansun. Their first album, Attack Of The Grey Lantern, was a great record.
I always remember their singles being pretty cool. They were all EPs (titled One EP, Two EP etc) and always had a bunch of non-album tracks.
